They showed me some patio pictures, helped me on the pattern design, and listened to my request for reuse some old bricks. The patio was done in the planned schedule, and look very nice. They did great job. One thing might be improved is the communication. They seems busy in the summer time. Sometimes, I didn't receive response or receive response late for emails and calls."

David Ricard gave me a fair estimate to fill in mortar where a house brick was party broken by a telecom company and where some mortar fell out from an area a larger masonry company had repointed a few years before. "We wanted a permeable patio space in a muddy low spot outside our kitchen door where we'd removed a mouldering shed. Mike's took my handful of unstructured ideas and, with the professional attention of his experienced crew, turned them into a wonderful space.
Mike was friendly with our two big dogs; we kept them in the house during the work. For less than a week, we kept our cars parked at the curb so Mike's crew could delivery stone dust and stones, and pull up closer to the work site. I saw Mike multiple times, was able to speak/text on the phone; I think he was actually on site every day of work.
Within days of contacting him on AList, Mike came out to view our site and discuss options. In addition to his impressive and broad knowledge of materials, plants, rain gardens, how to handle water problems, available rebates for rainscapes in Montgomery Co, MD, vs Fairfax Co, VA, Mike showed a vital artistic flair that "clicked" with us.
Importantly, as we discussed the size, options, and, delightfully, design, it was pouring rain. Seeing how the water flowed, and responding to my frustration with it, Mike offered directing the water to a place lower in the yard by tying in a downspout and a grill to catch run off from the surface of an existing patio -- yes, a perfect solution to a long-standing problem!
We wanted "something like" a big boulder for a step out the kitchen door. Rather than removing our fence to get such a thing into place, Mike suggested multiple fitted, smaller boulders -- another perfect solution.
I wanted something that connected with an adjacent area under a small walnut and maple tree that was covered with big river stones -- Mike's solution was a lovely, curving edge of dry stacked stone.
For over a year, we have wanted to replace a previously-laid plumbing pipe used for electrical wires -- Mike would install a length of proper and safe electrical conduit through which an electrician will rethread the wiring.
After our initial talk, Mike sent a reasonable estimate. We changed our minds along the way about what to use for the steps; Mike promptly re-estimated.
Within a week, Mike's crew started digging out the asphalt and pouring in wetted rock dust. The trenches to lay drainage appeared, then the flagstone was delivered and his crew started arranged and seating it in the rock dust. We watched over the next couple of days as pipes were laid, and the stone pattern emerged. They were careful that the gate opened smoothly.  I commented that I didn't want a straight edged border and Mike agreed that it would be gently curving. The next afternoon, we came home to two fantastic steps of multiple, smaller boulders, a natural-looking spread of large flagstone sloping slightly away from the house, and the start of dry stacked smaller stones as lovely curving borders.
 
A thick layer of mulch in the side beds, and then, it was done! Mike's friendly crew cleaned up after themselves, packed up and were out in less than two weeks.
Eventually, I'll post before and after pictures. It went from a sunken, muddy corner in our yard to an extremely pleasant breakfast/reading/chatting area right outside our kitchen. Not simply a lovely job, but artistic, too. You will very much enjoy working with Mike!
