Companies don't return calls; make appointments and don't show; charge outrageous prices; do poor quality work. We contacted Mind Craft Masonry regarding a cinderblock retaining wall that needed repair. Ian Sr. returned our call promptly. He made an appointment to give a quote for the work and showed up on time. He was available quickly to do the job. He and his son showed up on time. The work was done beautifully. They cleaned up well and were friendly. What a great example of how a company should be run. Thank you!"

"Couldn't be more pleased with Craig's work. Had a crack in the mortar of our brick fireplace, and one loose brick. This also happened some years ago, and the company hired just skim-coated some mortar over the crack. This time Craig chipped all the mortar out, and discovered numerous loose bricks. Even though the repair ended up being more extensive than anticipated, Craig stuck to his price quote (we did compensate extra for the extra work). He left the worksite clean and tidy."

"We worked with Rich Cassidy of Southern Grove to design and build new patio for our home. I provided him with our ideas and as this is our first home & patio we were very pleased to receive honest feedback and ideas from him on how to make the design even better. Throughout the design and estimate process he was very prompt in his responses to questions and giving us an estimate. His son Brian led the work on building out the patio and we were very impressed by his quality of work. Our patio design included a rectangular paver patio with built-in grill area, stone bench, and cedar plank bench along with a circular area surrounded by a seating wall. He gave his ideas on design and finishing as he went and at every turn we loved his creative ideas - we were really looking for something that would be differentiated and he delivered! He did this work with NO damage to the lawn/sod around the patio - we felt they truly cared for how they did the work, taking the time to make sure it was done right and no corners were cut. In addition to the hardscaping, they did landscaping around the patio and planted a maple tree along the side of our home. I was impressed with Rich's knowledge of what types of plants would complement the patio and provide shade/privacy down the line. When the project was finished there were no surprises versus his estimate - the invoice was right in line with our expectations. We are in love with our new outdoor space and have already received many compliments from friends, family, and neighbors! We will go to Southern Grove first in the future if we have other landscaping needs!"

"Dave installed a new chimney cap and wrapped our Chimney in stucco. We had issues with spalling bricks and sealing the chimney simply was not working. Dave responded to calls and questions, showed up when he said he would, was upfront with options and pricing. Overall, this was a great experience and the chimney looks great. The stucco color and limestone he added really enhance the overall look of our home."

He was able to helped me figure out my restainig wall design (he provided me several options to choose from), removed all the old landscaping (bushes and plants), trimmed one of our trees, put in the new retaining wall and added a few low maintenance plants (which is what I requested) and added some volcanic rock (for low maintenance). We are extremely happy with the end result. It was worth every penny."
