"Luigi was a pleasure. His prices were not the highest, not the lowest, but when I met him for an estimate, he struck me as the most dependable, reasonable contractor to hire. That impression turned out to be true. In negotiating the price during the estimate, he kept a big picture point of view and didn't nickle and dime the smaller components of the job. For example, after agreeing on a price, as we walked to my porch to sign the contract, he noticed the bricks on my front steps could use some pointing and said he'd take of that at no additional charge. When the city decided to chop up the sidewalk to replace a gas line the day after we signed our contract, Luigi was very accommodating and split the job into thirds (something in my experience contractors don't like to do) to work around them. Luigi was on site during each day of work supervising his crew of two to three guys. He repaired and extended an existing retaining wall and coated the cement work with stucco to match the original wall. He replaced the front section of my driveway, and when the city ended up replacing the driveway apron which they demolished during the gas line replacement, but, which was also part of my contract with Luigi, Luigi actually refunded me a portion of the agreed-upon price. Luigi is honest, professional, and seems to me to know his trade. I'm very happy with his work and would highly recommend him."

"The stone walk was efficiently and professionally reset and was even better than the original walk. The team patiently applied the small river stones in the wet cement as per my direction. The team was knowledgeable, courteous and attentive to requests. Richie and Vinnie supervised the overall job performed by a skilled team. They made every effort to address my wishes regarding the desired finished look of the walk. Clean-up was perfect and the team even repositioned the border stones I had placed around the walk adjacent to several plant beds for a most attractive final result! The team also remortered loose bricks on the front steps and removed a deeply embedded previous concrete fence post that protruded on the grass outside the front fence. Again, both jobs performed in a timely and professional manner."

The owner Thiago, who oversees the project, was a pleasure to work with -- never used any pressure tactics, was very responsive to any questions, and gave a fair price. The two craftsmen who did the work were amazing! They arrived promptly every day, worked extremely hard, and did absolutely beautiful work. They hauled away all the old materials and tidied everything up when the job was done. We definitely would hire them again for a future project and highly recommend them."

"Joe and JB General Contractors have done it again!!! They have exceeded all expectations with the quality of the work and the concierge services. We previously used JB for a sidewalk replacement project in Sept 2023 so it was a no brainer to return to them when severe April storms revealed leaks in my parent's home roof and sliding was blown off in the storm. Joe was onsite on a Saturday to assess the work needed, produce an estimate with various scenarios for siding replacement and provide expertise on choosing the appropriate replacement products. His detailed estimate and photos were of great help in obtaining an appropriate insurance reimbursement for the storm damage. The project was underway before I returned to my home in California and Joe provided regular reports and pictures to document the project progress. "Before my long review just know you should use these guys I highly recommend the team at City Suburb! It is about 4 months post project and I am finally getting a chance to write a review. Had my brick front steps and landing completely repaired. The team replaced my broken stone steps, repointed the bricks, and poured a new concrete landing for me. The work was done in 3 days as quoted with the weather cooperating. They made little mess, cleaned while they worked, and cleaned up before they left everyday. Pricing was consistent with other quotes we received but the professionalism was what ultimately made me move forward. I had a digital contract for the work outlining the job, timeline, and cost the same day they came out to give me an estimate. I am going to have them come out and do additional waterproofing and stonework for me in the next few months."
