"I have a house with circa 1890's brick and mortar that once had seashells in it. David Ricard gave me a fair estimate to fill in mortar where a house brick was party broken by a telecom company and where some mortar fell out from an area a larger masonry company had repointed a few years before. David and his brother showed up on time, did the work in a reasonable amount of time, and cleaned up after. He showed that he understands different kinds of brick and the mortar required. I wish I had known about David before I hired that other company a few years before because the larger company didn't do a particularly good repointing job. I have upcoming mortar work needed on my front walkway and will be calling David for that repair. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others."

"Excellent, excellent, excellent! Rigo was outstanding. First, he came and looked at the job and later took some brick samples to match them with bricks that he would buy for the job. He found bricks that matched almost perfectly after going to several places (above and beyond the call!). Then, he noticed that some of my railing was rotting away, so I asked him if he knew someone to come and fix that before he fixed the bricks. He did and that contractor also did an excellent job! Rigo then came and fixed the bricks and did an excellent job. Thank goodness that he noticed the rotting railing; otherwise, I would have had to redo the bricks because the railing was bad. The whole job worked out well and he was the lowest bidder! I highly, highly recommend him for your job!"

"Mottern did a fantastic job designing and installing a large flagstone-on-concrete patio for us. The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. The guy came out, explained whatever they would be doing, he gave me a drawing of what it was, and he gave me an estimate for both concrete, and flat stone, and explained the difference between the two and the advantages of each of them. Their price was higher than the other one."

"Removed old concrete patio: This was an old 1963-era concrete slab. Massive. Mike & his team brought in jackhammers and made quick work of it. Waterproofing: Removing the old slab revealed a damaged (and possibly leaking) portion of the house wall, which Mike's team repaired well. Replaced with new patio: Mike's team poured a new cement layer, then installed a new flagstone patio surface on top of that. Also a new step (concrete with flagstone exterior) at the door threshold. They also re-installed an iron railing which had been part of the original patio configuration. The job went well in all respects. We're happy with the team's work and with the new patio. I've worked with Mike and Diversified Contractors several times now. Each time, Mike has had good ideas & suggestions. Each time, his team has demonstrated excellent skills. Again, I'm looking forward to our next project."
