We had Roger and several other masonry contractors out in the spring to give bids on the above described work, and were surprised by how high all the quotes were, so we decided to hold off doing the work until later in the year. While Rogers Masonry was not the lowest of the bids, it was competitive. But what really made Roger stand out over the several months between bidding and hiring was his clear knowledge about, and genuine passion for, the work that he does (he's been in the business since 1976 and his lead crew member has been with him for 20 years!). "Unlimited Masonry did a superb job. They were polite and diligent communicators from the minute I contacted them. There quote was reasonable and in line with the other companies I contacted. In fact, they were a bit less expensive than some, even though they were willing to do more repair and brick cleaning than other contractors offered to do. We had two large brick planters attached to our home, which was built in the late 70s. One planter wall had split down the middle and was leaning forward. The other planter wall that frames our entry way and front door was detaching from the house. The front of our house is also made of brick on the lower portion, and there were some cracked bricks on the foundation. Both brick walls were stained. They arrived on time, very cheerful (especially for 7AM) worked steadily, and completed the project before noon. I am so delighted with the improvement to our two brick wall planters and the cracked bricks they replaced on the front of our house. They did an excellent job matching hard to find brick from the 70s. The brick wall planters are now straight and sturdy, and the stains have been removed. I highly recommend this business and would definitely hire them again."

He tiled a front entry floor and created a more pleasing front porch design by building out an existing post and covering it with stone to match stone on the front of the house. "It went great! Debbie Petschl and her team were easy to work with and very efficient. It took them only a couple of days to finish what I had anticipated would take at least a week. Debbie worked with us and offered us a couple quotes based on our requirements and even requoted us when my father and I disagreed on how we wanted it to look. Since we do not see a lot of sun on our property and have lots of dead grass and dirt Debbie offered practical suggestions on plants and bushes that would be fitting to our particular landscape. The overall look is clean and professional, the river stones add a unique elegance to the property and the path they created behind our house is functional and attractive as well. I would certainly consider Twin City Landscape again for future landscaping needs and will definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends."

"I picked Artistic Landscape by reviewing Angie's List for Landscaping providers. I had identified five companies that I was interested in, with Artistic Landscape being my first choice. I ended up only contacting Artistic Landscape.  I was looking for a small company who would be able to provide design work and the installation services. Chris Baker (owner) came over four about an hour and listened to what we were looking for.  Instead of sending us a quote, he came back two weeks later with a CAD drawing and presented us a design for our review. We discussed different stone (for the sitting wall) and different pavers for the patio/sidewalk.  We had the option to change things up if we wanted to.  After choosing Artistic Landscape, Chris came back again to show us actual samples of stone and pavers to finalize our design. 
The implementation went smoothly. It took them about 4.5 days to get the work done.  Chris had two guys doing landscaping and two guys doing pavers and stone walls. Chris was also here most of the time working with them as well.  In addition, Chris had my six year old in the bobcat (technically a compact track loader) for 10 minutes while he was loading up the dump truck on the second day.  
Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.  We would gladly use him again and recommend him to friends/neighbors.
