The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. "During the estimate visit, the consultant was very thorough and explained in detail the process of all the work that would be done--something that three previous contractors we'd gotten estimates from had neglected to do. They were also considerably less expensive than all three of the other contractors, despite the estimate including higher quality materials (paving stones versus poured concrete). The project start time came very soon after the contract was signed and the work was finished within the time frame they had estimated. During the process, Diversified Contractors was available to answer questions.
