"Luigi was a pleasure. His prices were not the highest, not the lowest, but when I met him for an estimate, he struck me as the most dependable, reasonable contractor to hire. That impression turned out to be true. In negotiating the price during the estimate, he kept a big picture point of view and didn't nickle and dime the smaller components of the job. For example, after agreeing on a price, as we walked to my porch to sign the contract, he noticed the bricks on my front steps could use some pointing and said he'd take of that at no additional charge. When the city decided to chop up the sidewalk to replace a gas line the day after we signed our contract, Luigi was very accommodating and split the job into thirds (something in my experience contractors don't like to do) to work around them. Luigi was on site during each day of work supervising his crew of two to three guys. He repaired and extended an existing retaining wall and coated the cement work with stucco to match the original wall. He replaced the front section of my driveway, and when the city ended up replacing the driveway apron which they demolished during the gas line replacement, but, which was also part of my contract with Luigi, Luigi actually refunded me a portion of the agreed-upon price. Luigi is honest, professional, and seems to me to know his trade. I'm very happy with his work and would highly recommend him."

"Joe and JB General Contractors have done it again!!! They have exceeded all expectations with the quality of the work and the concierge services. We previously used JB for a sidewalk replacement project in Sept 2023 so it was a no brainer to return to them when severe April storms revealed leaks in my parent's home roof and sliding was blown off in the storm. Joe was onsite on a Saturday to assess the work needed, produce an estimate with various scenarios for siding replacement and provide expertise on choosing the appropriate replacement products. His detailed estimate and photos were of great help in obtaining an appropriate insurance reimbursement for the storm damage. The project was underway before I returned to my home in California and Joe provided regular reports and pictures to document the project progress. "We had brick work done. We had some masonry work done and his name is Mohammed and the name of the business is Salient Construction Incorporated. He did a good job. He left some debris in our gutters and that was the only complaint I had. He was timely. I will use them again in the future as the back wall needs thorough sealing. I have already spoken about it but it is probably going to be another year before I need it and that is not his problem. I don't think I need it just yet but when I do that I am going to probably call him to do it."

"Martinez Brick came the following day to inspect my “3 sidewalk squares” for replacement. He told me the 4th one should also be replaced, as it was elevated. He gave me a price for 4 squares that was less than a competitors price for 3. Then he said that he would cut $400 off if I could do it “this Saturday”, a date at his convenience because he had a job close by. I said “great!” It rained Saturday and he couldn’t pour cement in the rain. He said “I’ll be there Tuesday”, and I’m honoring the discounted price. Okay. Monday night he called and said he will come Wednesday for sure because he doesn’t want his workers pouring cement in 98 degree heat! I like a boss who cares about his employees. He came on Wednesday and did a PERFECT job!"
