I called Saul at Chimney Safe; he scheduled an appointment immediately and was prompt in arriving. After thoroughly inspecting my fireplace, going into the crawlspace in the lower level of the house to look at the boiler/furnace, and going onto the roof to check the chimney (something none of the other contractors I had out did), Saul gave me an extremely good quote to do a substantial rebuild of my chimney. "A soft wall due to improperly installed gutter by some other entity or homeowner caused water to constantly leak into the wall from the exterior roofline. This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. I am going to use this company in my own investment endeavors on other properties and projects given the level of finished work, the timing and especially the level of detailed communication."
