"Levi removed a too thin stucco coating on our chimney,. He replaced that with a beautiful stone installation that is a true work of art. Beautiful work!"

Grounded Stonework is a landscape design and construction business specializing in Dry Stonework. Among the most traditional, resourceful and enduring means of construction known to man, dry stone structures are built without mortar, grounded in the physics of friction and gravity. Throughout the world, ancient dry stone ruins bear testament to the inherent strength, beauty and resilience of their elemental integrity. Where mortared structures fail, dry stoneworks endure within the landscape, harmonious in form and function. At Grounded Stonework, we offer original design and build creations. Be it a failing wall, an eroding bank, a rutted out yard and/or a matter of puddling water during rainstorms, we provide a holistic remedy to the exploits of nature intrinsic to mountain living. From erosion control to flood abatement, ease of access to comprehensive aesthetic makeovers, we build retaining walls, garden terraces, stairways, walkways, patios and stepping stone paths.

"I was very impressed with Patrick Stollenmaier and his crew. Patrick was very helpful, giving us alternative choices re materials to use for the patio and design. The price detailed exactly how they would execute the job (very helpful when a design has to be approved by the condo committee, as ours was!) He and his entire crew showed up exactly on time every day and worked until the tasks scheduled for the day were complete. They were very professional and polite and answered all of our questions or referred us to the crew member who could. Each day, they left the work site neat and clean. We love the patio and walkway that they created for us and neighbors have gone out of their way to tell us how much they like it, too. My only complaint is that initially Patrick was a little slow getting the price quote and project sketch to us. However, the fact that the crew showed up when they said they would, did the work in a completely professional manner, and finished the job on schedule far outweighs that complaint. We would definitely use Stollenmaier Hardscapes again."

"Flatstone patio 190 sq. ft. plus new landing and steps from porch. Skilled artisans, stones selected are awesome, neighbors envious. Graded appropriately, had to deal with torrential rains two days, but very happy with end product. Very competitive rates. Friendly team, Guillermo keeps in touch. Though they are seasoned stone and patio professionals, the carpentry on landing and steps is outstanding."

"Hired ZR Landscaping to rebuild a retaining wall with paver patio that was poorly installed just four years earlier by another contractor. Zach diagnosed poor drainage behind the wall as the reason the wall base was washing out. Zach had a detailed, competitively priced written proposal to me in under 24 hours. He offered to reuse some of the existing blocks to reduce the total cost. Our project was scheduled just a few weeks out, not months out like a couple other contractors had proposed. The crew was punctual and very hard-working for a solid four days. Crew leader Julio answered all our questions and kept us informed through of each level of the new installation. Zach came back by himself to see the completed project, answer a few questions and make sure we were satisfied."

"We had our asphalt driveway replaced with concrete and are over joyed with the results. Everyone was courteous and professional, from DJ who walked us through the process and cost to Jacob who came by to make sure we were happy with the work. And the whole work crew took extra care to make sure things were fixed right. A special thanks to DJ who not only help with the price but was also on site during the entire process and even pick up packages and mail to the house. Definitely will be using them in future."

"We have been restoring an old bungalow porch that had been screened in and neglected for many years. When we took down the old screen, we realized that the brick walls had no capping. Hence, us needing someone skilled in concrete. Geovanni and his team were great! Very quick and efficient with their work. We feel that we were quoted/charged fairly. The work is beautiful and we love how our porch looks now. We definitely recommend GC Construction."
