"I had 5 other contractors over to inspect my problem that was a section of brick wall on my 1926 house that pulled away. Joe inspected and had knowledge of the condition and how it would be fixed. He and his crew arrived and set to work. They removed the section of brick piece by piece, saving all the pieces to reinstall. I wanted to replace the original brick on my house. They re-set all the brick, repairing the entire section of the house. New window lentals and new stone window sills were installed. Also addressed cracks and missing mortar around the entire house, repointing what was needed. They also repaired front porch brick and chimney stone. The crew worked like a fine oiled machine and cleaned up each evening. Iâ ve never had a contractor that I was so pleased with on all respects. Highly recommend Joe , - Masonry Hardscapes and his crew."

"Luigi was a pleasure. His prices were not the highest, not the lowest, but when I met him for an estimate, he struck me as the most dependable, reasonable contractor to hire. That impression turned out to be true. In negotiating the price during the estimate, he kept a big picture point of view and didn't nickle and dime the smaller components of the job. For example, after agreeing on a price, as we walked to my porch to sign the contract, he noticed the bricks on my front steps could use some pointing and said he'd take of that at no additional charge. When the city decided to chop up the sidewalk to replace a gas line the day after we signed our contract, Luigi was very accommodating and split the job into thirds (something in my experience contractors don't like to do) to work around them. Luigi was on site during each day of work supervising his crew of two to three guys. He repaired and extended an existing retaining wall and coated the cement work with stucco to match the original wall. He replaced the front section of my driveway, and when the city ended up replacing the driveway apron which they demolished during the gas line replacement, but, which was also part of my contract with Luigi, Luigi actually refunded me a portion of the agreed-upon price. Luigi is honest, professional, and seems to me to know his trade. I'm very happy with his work and would highly recommend him."

"Upon a recommendation from a neighbor, we requested an estimate from Quality 1st for two jobs -- inspect and repair a brick chimney and repair our stone porch which had started to sink. Oscar came out within a couple of days, talked about the project, sent us an estimate and we hired his company. Couldn't be happier. Oscar told us the job would take one day, and we were a bit skeptical about that. But he did it and he did it well! Two crews came out and while one tackled the repair and repointing of our chimney, the other worked on our porch. Watching the crew repair the porch was amazing. We requested all the stones be reused because they were original to the house. When each stone was lifted, it was placed "puzzle-like" on a tarp, and after reinforcement of the sunken parts of the porch, the stones were replaced in the the same manner in which they were removed. The chimney is fixed and no longer losing bricks. We trust every bit of the work performed that day. The crew was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable--and Oscar worked right beside them. I would absolutely hire Quality 1st Maintenance again."

"From the estimate, to the material delivery to when they were to show up all was on time. After they left the only sign that they were here was a great looking patio. Cleaned up the yard and the street. We were quoted a price and in the end that was the price. Made this work easy and we were extremely happy that we chose AA& Son Masonry. When we need more work we will only use them"

"I had a photo of a brick pattern I saw in NC and shopped it around to several companies. Thiago was prompt in responding to my inquiry and providing an estimate. After a clarifications, we signed a contract and work began within a few months. The crew was super courteous and easy to work with. Any issues or concerns I had during the installation were immediately addressed without any hesitation or pushback. I am very pleased with the finished product."

"Competitive quote, prompt and excellent repair on front stoop. Highly recommend for brick, paver repair or installation."

"     Joe, Mo and team came to my house to re-pour a concrete walkway (front) and repair brick and paint my back extension.  It took two days, and I am very pleased with the results.

They were very easy to work with, professional, and paid attention to detail.  For the walkway, I wanted a specific "look," to the concrete (sort of worn looking with the pebbles showing to match the rest of the walkway).  I must say, concrete is an area they excel in, the walkway could not have come out looking better!  And, they took the time to look around and fill-in extra areas around the front of the house with new cement where there were cracks.  In the back, they were quick, clean and efficient.  But the most important part is, when I had a problem (some of the paint washed away in a storm the same night it was applied -- either not enough time to cure properly or the brick was too wet when painted initially) I called Joe and he sent his team back to fix the issue right away.  They saw what needed to be done, and went straight to work. After they had re-painted the section in question, I pointedly asked if it would hold this time.  Mo, the foreman, said "you have a problem, you call and we will come back to fix it - no problem - we're not going anywhere."  And you know what?  I believe him.

I used these guys for another job a few weeks ago (installing cement patio in a rental property) and both jobs came out nicely. Would I use them again?  In a word: yes.   As I said in my previous review, they are not the cheapest guys in town, but you do get what you pay for.

     Thanks.

"Jay was very nice to work with. He explained everything very well. The job was completed on time, and we are very satisfied with their work. We did some additional work including putting concrete around the garage, and thorocoat, while he was here to complete the brick pointing work. Their prices were reasonable also."

"Before my long review just know you should use these guys I highly recommend the team at City Suburb! It is about 4 months post project and I am finally getting a chance to write a review. Had my brick front steps and landing completely repaired. The team replaced my broken stone steps, repointed the bricks, and poured a new concrete landing for me. The work was done in 3 days as quoted with the weather cooperating. They made little mess, cleaned while they worked, and cleaned up before they left everyday. Pricing was consistent with other quotes we received but the professionalism was what ultimately made me move forward. I had a digital contract for the work outlining the job, timeline, and cost the same day they came out to give me an estimate. I am going to have them come out and do additional waterproofing and stonework for me in the next few months."
