"I have cabinet space under my kitchen sink that holds my trash and recycling containers, along with some cleaning products. The bottom of the pullout cabinet broke, so I hired Matthew Rose Carpentry to rebuild the cabinet portion. He not only rebuilt it, he added two wooden partitions in back of my trash and recycling containers to better hold up my cleaning products, which used to tip over at times when I opened the cabinet. The cabinet now does a 'soft close,' which I never had before. Great job! He also replaced the door threshold to the main entrance of my home. Very nice work. And he's very pleasant and easy to work with. You'll be pleased, both by his demeanor and the quality of his work."

"Excellent. That has been my experience With Daniel Omondi and his company. I contacted him about a solid wood dining table that two of the four legs became undone with the braces buckling after I tried to turn it over. (It was heavier than I thought). No one else I contacted responded. Daniel did. He drove down from the Hartford area to my home in Hamden, looked at the table, took the needed parts with him and returned with the braces fixed and connected it back together a week later. While at my place that first time, I also showed him some wood cabinets that were buckling. He told me they could be repaired rather than be replaced. He came down with his assistant Stephen and together they took them down and took the cabinets with them to their shop. I expect they will be back with them this week. I also have an old solid wood table with a surface that needed refinishing. He took that with him to refinish and I expect that back shortly as well. He is my go to guy in a field where it is tough to find woodworking professionals. He is personable, respectful and does quality work. I highly recommend him."

"I was very impressed with George's Handyman Service. We needed to have
our bathroom remodeled because of problems with the tile floor coming
up, because of an ongoing plumbing leak. While we were at it, we decided
to replace the tub, the toilet, the sink and vanity, have the tile
walls taken down, the floor retiled, and have everything painted. George
came out very promptly, gave an estimate, and started the work about a
week later. From the beginning, we were so pleased. He and his partner
arrived on time each day and worked hard throughout the day to get it
finished in the two weeks he'd promised. Things happened--don't they
always with these kinds of projects? The subfloor was much more of a
mess than anyone predicted, and needed to be brought up scoop by scoop.
The vanity had a crack in it and needed to be returned. But George
worked diligently through everything, day after day. He minimized the
inconvenience of having work done in the house by cleaning up each day before he left. He was professional and cheerful, and a pleasure to have around--and that's really saying something since I work at home, doing interviews and writing, and having someone else in the house can often be a disruption. When minor things came up after the job was finished, he came immediately out to fix them. We would definitely hire him again! In fact, when we needed some minor repairs to another property, he did that as well.
