"We are SO THRILLED with the results and with the entire process!  JD and his company are absolutely terrific.  It was such a pleasant process from design suggestions, drawing up plans, watching the execution, and now enjoying the completed work.  JD is a terrific designer, wonderful communicator, and we really couldn't be happier with everything.  We are planning to do another project with him in the next year, and we are looking forward to that process and end product too!"

"Tony came out initially to provide a quote on new windows for the building. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the products Excel offers. He provided me with multiple choices and even had a window that he brought with to show me how they look and work. I also received two other bids from other local window companies. While Excel was in the middle on the price, I was impressed with how prepared and knowledgeable Tony was throughout his pitch. Also, I felt really good about the product he was selling. All of these factors led me to select Excel as the provider. After I gave Tony the go ahead that I was going to use Excel, he immediately had Tom (their installer) come out and take measurements. Earlier, I had explained to Tony that I really wanted the windows replaced before I moved into the building and that would occur in about a month and a half. Tony was up front with me about the time frame and said that he would do the best he can to get them rushed but it could be 4-6 weeks before they receive the windows. About 1 month after Tom came out, I received a call to schedule installation in about 3 business days. This was a great turn around time, and I really appreciated the effort they made to get the job done asap. Tom came out when he said he would with his crew and all of the windows were installed in 1 day. Again, this was better than expected because I tested positive for lead paint around the window openings which typically translates to a much longer installation process because of EPA compliance. I was very happy that everything got installed that day. Moreover, I was very satisfied that the Excel team was able to meet my projects deadline and really worked hard to do so."

"Had to replace the deck we were stuck with when we bought this house. Jeremy helped us with ideas on it's replacement. Great looking deck! Workers are very polite and considerate. Love our new deck!"

"They are my regular guys. I got them off of Angie's list. It's an ongoing contract, bi weekly in the summer. They do it when I'm not home. They aren't great at returning phone calls. I use them. Don't expect a lot of phone calls from them. I mean its gardening. So basically, everything looks neat and clean. They don't trample on things. I guess attention to detail. They can return phone calls. the thing is, they also provide a snow service. And I asked them about it and I had questions but hey never got back to me to answer my questions. Once you set them up, they do a wonderful job."

"Very professional and took the time to help in designs to be more energy efficient and cost effective for the build."

"After a year of working with us, Marc designed the perfect home for our family. He spent significant time on site to get to know the space and spoke to us frequently to ensure his design met our hopes and dreams. His final design is visually stunning and maximizes space use in a way that reflects both the history of the home and modern preferences. His expertise in Chicago building code and city offices was instrumental in our project being approved quickly. He reviewed bids with us to ensure we selected a GC who could do the job and had competitive pricing. He regularly met and emailed with the GC and suppliers to address issues as they arose during the job so that all were resolved to our satisfaction. Throughout it all, he was just a nice guy to work with during a process that can be very stressful."
