"Jobe's did an excellent job of designing and installing our landscaping. They incorporated our ideas with their suggestions and created a complete well balanced design. The owner and staff were very professional and everyone did a great job. Our neighbors pause when passing to admire their work."

Small jobs welcome

"Shorescapes did an incredible job on transforming our backyard. We went from just grass and some plants to a beautiful outdoor living space with a paved patio. The design was modern, the work was completed quickly and everyone was extremely professional. I got a few quotes from other places before hiring Shorescapes and the price was great too!"

"This was not a small project. The team did a complete remodel of my master bath, a partial remodel of my guest bath as well as replacing tile in my kitchen and foyer. Dustin is very easy to work with. I needed someone I could trust when it came to the design of the master bath. Dustin helped me turn my vague concepts into very concrete ideas. His team was wonderful to work with. They were skilled craftsmen who were very respectful of my space, My condo finally feels like home. I would highly recommend this group if you are considering a project. Thank you Coastal Bay."

This company truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that lies ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of crafts man. The results was everything and more than I was hoping for. I am very happy and pleased with the outcome of my front door and overhang. I will be working with this company again in the near future to complete my basement. Thank you! Romona B"

FAQs for design and decorating projects in Fenwick Island, DE

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.

Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.

A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.

Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
