"Bertie was recommended to us by a friend for some work that he completed in Jamaica Plain. We recently built a 2nd floor on our cape in Milton and needed walls and ceilings in three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a hallway and stairwell. Bertie was prompt with his bid and was extremely flexible with his start date. He was finished with the entire job in less than four days, which was incredibly impressive. In addition, part of the demolition included tearing down two walls on the first floor and a strip of drywall by the front door. Without asking, Bertie fixed those as well and included them in the price. Furthermore, we are installing a pocket door and need to wait for that before drywall goes up, plus our plumber needs access to the shower before the durock goes up, and Bertie has already committed to helping us with those issues as soon as they are ready. I would absolutely hire Bertie again in a second if the need ever arises again."

"We hired Herc and the Derek Construction team for a deck project The job consisted of a tear down and new build. The job was completed in 8 days (one rainy day) from start to finish. The guys arrived early and did a full days work. The owner was on-site for the majority of job and was accessible on a daily basis. The price was fair and they were able to complete a separate job (new framing & stairs leading to the yard) within the same time frame that the deck was estimated for.
