"I contacted three company off of Angies List. One, although under the basement repair category, did not provide the services I required. I checked the BBB on the other two before obtaining estimates from the other two. One provided the slickest/best presentation but wanted to do more than I felt the job called for. Plus they could not start the job for six weeks and even considering the questionable extras the cost was too high. Nor did their costs include any prep or finish work for the job; just fixing the walls & extensive water problem.

Better Basement Technologies showed me what I needed plus some extras that I might want to consider although not necessary for the repair. The sales rep also said he would sub-contract the initial prep work (paneling/carpet removal, framing, drywall installation with taping/mudding  and the outside landscaping including concrete patio tear-out & sodding  to complete the job: all at a much less price and they could start the following week.

All work was done promptly/professionally except for a few minor delays because of the weather. I opted to have paneling installed instead of dry wall plus have the carpentry crew do a more extensive job in the basement and do some roof repair to my screened in porch. "
