"Walter Is very knowledgeable, patched several spots from water leaks in the kitchen and bathroom ceiling. After he was finished, it blended in with the existing drywall. Before it was painted, you could not see where the patch was. After painting was completed you never know there was a problem on the ceilings. We highly recommend Walter / American Acoustics for all your drywall needs."

"Jesus with SEG Drywall went above and beyond my expectations! They were one of three vendors who helped me get my home back after my contractor had accepted my deposit and all but ghosted me. I heard from him within minutes of submitting a request for a quote, and he was out the next day to assess the damage. I had a fair quote the following day that included (separately at my request) pricing for just the drywall and insulation, and a price that included painting. He helped me match the paint color in my rooms better than I could have done on my own, and made helpful suggestions that helped me in the improvement projects I’d chosen to take on myself. While I hope to never need SEG’s drywall services again, I will definitely be saving their number for future painting and to pass on to my friends. Thank you, Jesus, and the entire team at SEG Drywall for your kindness, respect, and follow through. I’m not sure I would have made it back home this year if I hadn’t reached out to you!"

"Had an area of drywall patched in our laundry room- incredibly well-done work. You cannot tell even if you look that the wall was ever cut into. Our only complaint that was he could have cleaned up a little better afterward- we were left with drywall dust to sweep from the laundry room and garage and some goop on the driveway and lawn. This doesn't take long to do and would have left the best impression possible after the phenomenal work he did."

"Medrano Painting was by far the most reasonable quote I received for the big job of updating our new 1970s townhouse with acoustic ceiling removal, paint, new floor installation and vanity sink installation. WOW, have they surpassed my expectations! Rubel and his crew are hard workers, efficient, and meticulous to detail. On a personal note, they are also very friendly, helpful and respectful of my home. I especially appreciated the constant and clear communication with Rubel about scheduling and cost, even as more jobs and details were added on in the course of the work. He remained positive and flexible and set my mind at ease. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!"
Load-bearing walls support the weight of your home's structure, including floors, roofs, and other building components. Non-load-bearing walls, on the other hand, serve only as partitions or room dividers. All exterior walls are typically load-bearing, even if they have design features like bump-outs or large glass panels. These walls need precise construction to ensure your home's structural integrity.
Removing a wall costs anywhere from $300 to $10,000 , depending on the size and whether it's load-bearing. Removing load-bearing walls is a more labor-intensive process and typically costs more. To get an accurate estimate for your project, consult a local contractor with the specifics of your wall.
Yes, there are other projects you can tackle at the same time when building a wall. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows or doors can enhance your home’s sustainability and can be integrated into the wall construction process. You might also consider removing existing walls to create an open-concept layout or building a home addition for extra space. Coordinating multiple projects can be cost-effective and streamline your renovation timeline. Discuss your goals with a contractor to help you plan effectively and maximize the benefits of your renovation.
The cost to build a partition wall varies depending on the size and type you choose. Half walls that don't reach the ceiling cost about $10 to $20 per linear foot . Full partition walls made with drywall may cost more due to additional materials and labor. Prices for accordion or panel walls vary widely based on materials and design. Factors like electrical work, insulation, and finishes will also influence your total cost.
Framing is the backbone of wall construction, creating a secure structure that supports everything else. Quality framing ensures that studs, electrical wiring, and plumbing are properly integrated into your home's design. A professional installer uses reliable materials like wood or metal to build a framework that meets building codes and ensures your wall is durable and safe.
