"For our initial free estimate, Rick was very prompt at arriving at our home on time. As my husband and I surveyed the damage with him, Rick was very personable, a good listener, very knowledgeable and, as we visited, we discovered we have a similar drive – providing a good, strong, dependable work ethic as a reflection of who you are! After Rick left, my husband and I commented how his personality, demeanor and candor gave us not only confidence in his ability but we felt like we had known him all our lives! We really appreciated his willingness to help us save money by allowing us to do some of the minor painting ourselves. This morning, Rick and his brother, Mark, showed up right on time at 7 AM. As they moved and covered furniture, plants, carpet and my ceiling fan with plastic sheets, I was amazed how skillfully they worked together as a team -- like a proficiently-oiled machine -- saving a tremendous amount of time. They quickly identified, repaired, floated and textured the walls to match. And, even though I had three different kinds of texture on various walls, they were able to match all three textures! I was so impressed with their professionalism, as they paid attention to every detail in the sunroom, but what blew me away was their willingness to “go the extra mile.” After our entire roof was replaced, there were 12 nail heads that were trying to break through our ceiling in 6 different rooms in our home. As Mark worked in the sunroom, Rick repaired, floated and textured the nail holes so all we’ll need to do is paint to make it good as new! I was expecting the job would take most all day. I was wrong! It took them 2 hours this morning. They left a fan blowing to speed up the drying time. They came back at 1:00 PM to paint and were gone in another hour! Their efficient speed was impressive and was only surpassed by the overall quality of their work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AND CANNOT GIVE THEM ENOUGH PRAISE FOR THE GREAT JOB THEY DID!! (In fact, we were so impressed that we’ve decided to hire them for a separate job that wasn’t a direct result of the hail damage. They come back in a week!) It’s comforting to know that even in this day and time you can still find people who believe and truly care about the quality of their work being a reflection of who they are!"

"Cerdas Painting did a superior job in all aspects of painting 6 rooms and a hallway. Had them remove 'popcorn' ceiling texture from 4 rooms. They supplied samples of paint which ended up true to what we got. All trims were clean with straight edges. They always let me know when they would be here and never delayed the job for any reason. These people worked very hard with just a lunch break and long hours. We were able to live in our house while the work was being done. Jason was so kind and considerate while the work was being done it was a welcome change from other teams we have used in the past. They were not the cheapest but were great with the quality and there is not need fix anything afterwards. Cleanup was quick and complete. I will be using them again!"

"They did a great job, the painters were respectful and professional. They cleaned up after the job was completed. I highly recommend this company."
Load-bearing walls support the weight of your home's structure, including floors, roofs, and other building components. Non-load-bearing walls, on the other hand, serve only as partitions or room dividers. All exterior walls are typically load-bearing, even if they have design features like bump-outs or large glass panels. These walls need precise construction to ensure your home's structural integrity.
Removing a wall costs anywhere from $300 to $10,000 , depending on the size and whether it's load-bearing. Removing load-bearing walls is a more labor-intensive process and typically costs more. To get an accurate estimate for your project, consult a local contractor with the specifics of your wall.
Yes, there are other projects you can tackle at the same time when building a wall. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows or doors can enhance your home’s sustainability and can be integrated into the wall construction process. You might also consider removing existing walls to create an open-concept layout or building a home addition for extra space. Coordinating multiple projects can be cost-effective and streamline your renovation timeline. Discuss your goals with a contractor to help you plan effectively and maximize the benefits of your renovation.
The cost to build a partition wall varies depending on the size and type you choose. Half walls that don't reach the ceiling cost about $10 to $20 per linear foot . Full partition walls made with drywall may cost more due to additional materials and labor. Prices for accordion or panel walls vary widely based on materials and design. Factors like electrical work, insulation, and finishes will also influence your total cost.
Framing is the backbone of wall construction, creating a secure structure that supports everything else. Quality framing ensures that studs, electrical wiring, and plumbing are properly integrated into your home's design. A professional installer uses reliable materials like wood or metal to build a framework that meets building codes and ensures your wall is durable and safe.
