"WROUGHT IRON REPAIRS I just had a two section portion of our fence repaired. Initially we thought it would need to be replaced as it was bowed and several of the welds had broken loose at the base of the vertical bars, and not to mention it's 31 years old. We fortunately found SO CAL STEEL WORK on YELP. The owner, Dylan Barnett, came within one day and easily repaired by cutting about an inch out of the top horizontal bar and rewelding the vertical bars at the base. He also repainted the affected areas. He has all his equipment mounted in the bed of his truck. This company is an asset to our neighborhoods. "I am very impressed, and pleased, with the job that Quetzal Landscapes did for me! My yard is beautiful! Kristian (the owner) was very professional throughout the whole job. He was here every day (for about an hour) to get his crew going with the projects of the day, and to look at the work that had been done the day before. The concept that was taking place was so beautiful that I kept adding many more projects to my original landscaping "vision." Kristian removed (he actually got right in there, himself, with a chain saw) 3 very large Birds of Paradise trees (roots and all) and artistically landscaped my 4 terraced levels with exactly what we talked about. Kris has a very creative eye. Beyond the planting, Kris envisioned, and put in, a small patio on the 3rd terraced level with redwood stairs going up to it.I can now see the mountains and the fireworks from my yard. The crew that was there every day (7 days a week until my job was finished) was extremely hard working, and fun to be around. Kristian worked with me on my tight budget and was very thoughtful in presenting his ideas of my landscaping. After my landscaping was completed, my drip system needed to be monitored and changed each week. Kris came out himself (from about an hour away), twice, on a Saturday, to change it for me. Any follow-up that was needed, Kristian was there immediately to handle it! It is too bad that this review has no place for a before and after picture. "The owner Fabio, offered me an alternative to my original request I thought I needed to replace my 200' 38 year old steel fence. He walked me step by step of what he proposed and what he could provide in his bid. He provided a bid that included pictures of his walk thru of the rusted out fence from one end to another. He provided me a preliminary bid for my inspection and returned to my home to walk me through the process. Then he spray painted the areas that were to be replaced. Then he provided me the final contract that I gladly signed. He scheduled the work and completed the entire job as he contracted for in that time frame. I had other Contractors working on my home at this time and they commented on the professional welding they were providing. They were Professional and Polite during every visit. I am a retired Contractor in San Diego for 41 years in good standing and the Customer Service Fabio provided was 1ST class. He has very high standards and will not compromise in his workmanship or materials. Most Contractors are Salesman and seeking to sell you often something you do not need, Fabio offered me an alternative that only a honest true Tradesman with pride in his work would offer and complete.
