"The Fence Guy, Keith, and his team, do great work. They've installed my privacy fence, added on to my fence, and also done a repair to a fence. He takes great pride in doing high quality work."

"Terrific, as usual! Our family has been pleased with Lance's Hidden Fencing since our first encounter more than 12 years ago. Lance and his team are polite, patient and knowledgeable. Over the years our needs have included repair after accidental severing, relocation of boundaries and upgrading of a system installed by another company. Work has always been completed in a timely fashion (even in cold and rainy November weather). Most recently, the new guys came up with the perfect solution for our specific fencing needs. Challenge accepted and DONE and no additional charge :) Thanks, Lance and Co. It's great to know we can always count on you to make our dogs safe."

"The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that their machine that lays the wire was broken and caused a delay. The people are all great, and I think having the invisible fence is going to improve the quality of my life and my pet's lives."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Just had a fence put in with Johnson fence co. and couldn’t be happier. They did exactly what I asked and at half the cost of everyone else I got quotes from. Some companies said they wouldn’t even do a horizontal fence because it was too difficult or labor intensive. These guys knocked it out of the park. If you or anyone you know is looking to have a fence put in, I highly recommend these guys. They work with you! Listen to what you want! And are flexible when road bumps come up! Very very very happy with everything about them!"

FAQs for fencing service projects in Columbus, OH

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
