"They came and quoted me and were able to start the work the next week. Kept in contact with me if there were questions and gave excellent recommendations when I wasn't sure of something. My fence looks amazing and was completed timely. They even found an unexpected issue and were able to help address is quickly and the extra cost was reasonable and worth every penny. Will be using them when I replace the other portion of my fence."

"M-J Home Improvement did a MARVELOUS job!! I initially specced out some concrete repair on my driveway, which Marvin handled perfectly, and in discussion it led to repair of rear patio pavers, egress window pit repair and painting the exterior of the house and shed. I whole heartedly recommend Marvin for your home improvement projects. The house was yellow and you can see in the pictures that yellow paint had been sponged onto the brick as an accent. Marvin was able to perfectly match the brick color and went so far as to touch up every last yellow spot so it now looks like fresh brick, Fantastic!"

"Tristan and his team removed our old fence and installed a new wood fence. Communication was great and easy to work with. We requested a minor change and was told "no problem". We are happy that we chose Great Plains Fence LLC!"
Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.
Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.
Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
