"From the initial estimate to the finished fence this went very well. My entire back fence needed to be replaced and I wanted auto close on the gates. During the walk down, it was acknowledged that I had metal posts that could be reused and that some of them did need to be reset. I was quoted 3 days for the replacement. On the first day they got the old fence down and had all the rails up for the new fence and had started putting up the boards. When I got home the second day, the fence was complete. My neighbors were impressed with the speed and quality. The estimate was right on. I had a problem with the auto-close on one of the gates about a week later and they came out and fixed it."

"Best Coast Fencing (owner, Jeremy) replaced our rotted deck with a beautifully finished new one. His workmanship is excellent. His estimate was very competitive with others we obtained, and was accurate with respect to the final cost. Jeremy provided references, we called them and they were highly complimentary. The work was done promptly by Jeremy and his co-workers, with impressive attention to detail and some very nicely done finishing touches. The clean-up was complete. Always punctual, courteous, easy to contact by text and phone, and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this company for quality work at a very reasonable price. We'll hire them again to fix our fence!"

"They were on time and took great care to avoid damaging our garden while installing a new fence. Cleaned everything up when finished. The fence and gate look amazing. 👍"
Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.
Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.
Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
