Needed to replace the windows in my 30 year old house. Got multiple quotes and Real Deal was in line with lowest (WW) and use the same manufacture (Allside) the main difference being is they install 'to the stud'. On new construction this is how they are originally installed and then the sheet rock is installed to the window frame. The main competitor runs lots of different crews and it is easier to measure from the inside and slip them in over the sheet rock. This creates a gap to the actual stud and it is finished with exterior molding. This gap / molding creates issues with caulking and the competitor knows its an issue and tries to sell you caulking insurance because they know it will fail. The owner of Real Deal has his crew (or himself) precision trim the finish trim sheet rock and window sill to allow the window to fit directly in and be caulked inside an out without a large gap between the window frame structure frame. John the owner was here throughout job and personally inspected it afterwards and corrected any minor items and then washed every window. I highly recommend him. On time and communicated throughout the process.

How Much Does a New Fence Cost?

One of the biggest factors in fencing pricing is material. Materials like barbed wire are the cheapest, but they have limitations and aren't always the best choice for residential yards. Other metal fences, like chain-link, are more affordable and offer additional functionality. Choosing materials such as vinyl increase the cost of a fencing project.

Usually, having a fence installed in a residential yard or another like area could cost $500 to $7,000.

Most fencing pros build costs based on linear feet. That's the measurement of how long the fence needs to be to enclose the appropriate area. Typically, installing a fence will cost you $1 to $45 per linear foot.

Before you agree to a fencing installation contract, be sure you know the details of the full price. This may also include costs for things like permits, and, sometimes, the contractor may have to complete prep work to make the property ready for the fence you've chosen.

A fencing professional in Rockwall can help you understand your job's requirements. The company can also provide advice about the best materials to use. Begin your search for an expert fence contractor today.

Always Ask About Insurance

Ensure the contractor you select has the proper insurance to cover your job. They must be insured in your state or city to cover fencing or standard home contracting.

Frequently asked questions

  • Budget: Your budget is central in influencing which fence you buy. Figure out your spending limit and determine your budget per linear foot, as fencing costs can quickly add up.
  • Durability: Consider strength, lifespan, resistance to pests, rot and fungus, rust, and the material’s ability to withstand local weather conditions.
  • Maintenance: Maintenance, cleaning and repairs should be simple and minimal.
  • Purpose: The style of fence you choose should be suitable for its intended purpose.
  • Installation: Find out what installation requirements, such as foundations or supports, are necessary. Research if DIY is possible or if professional installation is your only option.

  • Wood fence styles range from traditional to contemporary and from purely functional to attractive and decorative.
  • Lattice fences are affordable and decorative. You can use them as privacy fences by growing dense foliage over them.
  • Vertical board fences are the most common type of residential fence. There are budget-friendly options available as well as higher-end panels. Vertical board fences are affordable choices for basic privacy and security fences.
  • Picket fences conjure up cozy images of traditional properties with carefully tended lawns. They’re good for demarcating a property boundary but don’t provide much security.
  • Post-and-rail fences are a solid choice for making a boundary over a large area, as material use is minimal. However, they don’t provide any security or privacy.
  • Metal fences are generally stronger and more secure than other materials. You can choose from highly ornate and secure metalwork or simple but functional wire. For the higher-end options, which are often costly, homeowners often reduce costs per square foot by combining the metal with brick.
  • Aluminum fencing is an attractive, more affordable alternative to wrought iron. Although it has a similar appearance, it’s not as strong as wrought iron.
  • Steel fencing is a strong, long-lasting fencing option that’s good for creating a secure barrier around your home.
  • Vinyl fencing made from PVC comes in a range of styles, including those that mimic real wood.
  • Composite fencing is an amalgamation of wood fibers, pulp or sawdust and ground plastic particles that are bonded and held together by an acrylic resin. It looks and feels like real wood and is an environmentally friendly choice, as it usually contains a high percentage of recycled materials.
  • Wire fences are not made to enhance the aesthetics of your property, although some homeowners opt for black fencing to help boost aesthetics. They are inexpensive, purely functional products suitable for DIY or professional installation.
  • Barbed wire fencing isn’t common in residential settings. While it’s an inexpensive, fierce and intimidating security deterrent, it isn’t attractive and will not add value to your home.

Comment: Facing street both sides of house has metal fence. With roughly 4 inches between metal spindles. Lookin for wood to be added in between those spindles. 1x4’s fit nicely. Roughy 120 open slots 44”. And about 40’ total. Each side has a gate a s would require ripping some of the planks to fit. I am busy during the day please contact me via text and email as well
