"I was originally looking for someone to paint my detached garage - simply that. What I found was a gold mine of talent, honesty, integrity and professionalism. Having recently taken a bad fall and now recuperating, mobility is an issue and found they took this in stride. By the time we had finished, they had PAINTED THE GARAGE, REPAIRED A FENCE ANOTHER HANDYMAN HAD LEFT INCOMPLETE, RESCREENED A SCREEN DOOR TO MY MUD ROOM, REPLACED LOCK SETS TO THE MUD ROOM DOOR, CLEARED A DRAIN THAT WAS FLOODING BY THE MUD ROOM AND AFFECTING THE WOODEN SCREEN DOOR, POWER WASHED MY PATIO (they power wash before they paint exterior surfaces, so we added the patio) AND THEN PAINTED THE 2 1/2 STORY, THREE LEVEL HOUSE TO MATCH THE GARAGE. Then, for better visibility of the gorgeous new house and garage colors, TRIMMED LOWER TREE BRANCHES. And don't be concerned about a "hard sell approach" - they might ask you about something, but not to add a task to the to-do list - just wondering if it was something you had thought about in a way that might influence something they ARE doing. The front of my house is mainly stone on the first level, and after the power wash, the stone looked better than the day I bought the house - I know - I checked photos! Since I am highly immobile, they took pictures of anything I could not see or see easily, and cleared everything with me via camera shots. Talent and ability are one thing, but integrity and honesty to me are just as important. Chris is the first person I have trusted to change locksets for me. I can do it, and always did to ensure no one had access to copy a key - with them, no such concerns. Judy and Chris make a great team! There are no wasted motions, they anticipate each other and yet both have their own unique strengths. Judy has the eye of a designer. The original color I selected for the garage was not what I wanted or thought it would be, based on the color swatch on the website. She showed me pictures of some of their previous work and there it was! - the perfect color. Time to pick the accent color for the doors and shutters - Judy to the rescue again. Folks driving down the street were giving them thumbs up gestures and neighbors complimenting the job - and the house didn't look that bad, it was just a drab white and stone house. MY HOUSE IS NOW THE STAND OUT ON THE BLOCK!! And Chis is a master carpenter in addition to his many other talents. The "repaired" screen door looks better than it ever did and you would never know a German shepherd went through a section of screening, trying to get to a rabbit! BTW - the rabbit won the race! I have more work for them to do, but it is all mainly inside, so I am holding off until the weather starts to worsen and they cannot do any further outside work (although there is a little yet to do outside, if I figure out how I want some landscaping done!) After several false starts to find service personnel outside of HomeAdvisor, I am so glad to have found these two! I tried to hire from a neighborhood based website and failed miserably. No vetting of personnel, no bonding, no insurance - not worth the risk. Chris and Judy pretty much do it all! Home Transformations is the perfect name for this company...the transformation they make is incredible and reflects your taste and yet reflects back on them for the work done which is why they give it their all - as Chris said, "If we are putting our name on it, we want it done right.""
