"The problem is that I wanted to paint my fascia board first.  He was in such a hurry to get the gutters installed because he needed the money before the holidays he told me he would paint the fascia boards for me before installing the gutters.  I found out that his wife did the painting and in doing so she spilled paint on my front porch and on some artificial greenery that had fallen off of a planter above her. I had purchased a brand new painting tray and left a new liner and all of the other supplies there.  She actually threw away the liner and just poured paint into the new tray.  Instead of cleaning it all up after using my brush, roller and tray, she left it all soaking for me to clean up afterI had worked all day.  I was p.o.'d but at least after soaking for a day or two the new tray came clean again.  Prior to installing the gutters, I had them install a screened in porch on my back patio.  It looks nice, but one problem is that the metal frame pieces that fit along the brick where it meets the house was not exactly straight vertically.  On one side they installed some thin plywood and when it is painted it will look fine.  But on the other side it was much more narrow so he just stuck some black foam in there and called it a day.  He actually didn't have quite enough foam and there is still about 12" missing.  It looks like crap and I will eventually change it to something else.  Also, they covered the ceiling with plywood and it sags in places because they didn't screw it down in enough places.  Some of the white metal framing pieces of the porch got scratched during the building of the product and I was told that he had spray paint that would cover it up.  The day the project was "completed" the spray can of paint was not working and I was told that he would fix it when he installed the gutters.  Just like I was told he would fix the foam when he came back to do the gutters.  Just like I was told he would finish those things when he came back to do another gutter job on my street in a couple of days.  All in all the gutters and screened in porch look nice, but I like things done a little more perfectly than Rick and his wife and workers were able to do them.  They are nice people and very friendly and the price was affordable.  I am happy except for the foam.  If you don't like things done really well, then hire them.  If you expect perfection, don't!
