"Fantastic! From the moment Marci and Ann conducted the telephone interview, to the day of the move, everything was perfect. Bill and Phil worked extremely hard moving all of the heavy furniture, including a sofa bed, down two flights of stairs without complaint. They even assembled one dining room hutch. The move was completed in three hours. Bill and Phil have been with the company 17 years! The price was VERY reasonable. "This is the first time I have used professional movers. I selected Sherman Moving because of their high rating and great reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. They took great care with my belongings and worked diligently. They were friendly and professional all at the same time. They gave me the Angie's list discount even though I was unable to print it from the website. The office person did fail to advise me that the discount was only good for the 1st 3 hours so I was a little disappointed with that. But am happy with the overall move. The office called prior to the move to confirm. The guys showed up on time and although it was a long day, they worked efficiently and did not waste time trying to prolong it as I have heard that other companies do. When we got to the storage unit, they packed it well and there is even room to put more things if I need to. They charged what they quoted me and their prices were in line with other movers that I had explored. At the end of the move, I was missing 2 of the 3 glass shelves to my curio cabinet that we had put in storage. Jason sent me somewhere to have the 2 shelves cut at their expense and it was handled promptly. Overall, I am WELL PLEASED with the move and with Sherman and have been recommending them to my friends. When the time comes that I am ready to move back into a place of my own, I will be calling Sherman Moving to do my move. Thank you Jason, Robbie and Scott!!"

"Working with Michael to set up the two moves with terrific. My problems came from the actual movers. The first movers dropped a heavy piece and damaged it. This group to our items to a location where they were transferred to another group to finish the move. More damage happened. The second move was done by a different group who picked up our things and delivered them. Again some damage. My problem with the second move was with the claim department at National Van Lines. I was overly careful about the damages I claimed (only submitting the largest items or easiest to replace), but had to negotiate to get a fair deal. BUT NVL did set me up with a great guy who could fix most of the damaged items."

"I was very impressed with this company and how meticulous they are in moving items.  The owner came for my appointment and explained in detail what would be done during the move. I was told during my appointment that  the truck used for cross country moves is driven by the owner of the company.  The owner said he does that to ensure a good move. He wants his customers to be completely satisfied since his name is on the company and it is his reputation that he is protecting.  Also, I was told the truck has air ride suspension which is another plus.  He also explained how careful they are in packing items, especially furniture.  Sofas, chairs, and other furniture would be wrapped in heavy duty CLEAN blankets before being shrink wrapped. I am sorry that it didn't work out for us to use this company.
