"I called Erin and we set up a date and time where she could spend the entire day at my house on a Saturday.  She arrived at 10 a.m. and stayed for about 5 hours.  I was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff accumulated in the basement and wasn't even sure where to start.  I told Erin what my goals were with regard to organizing and what I was hoping the accomplish by the end of the day.  Erin had arrived prepared to work.  She offered me a number of suggestions on organization based on what my goals were for the day and even helped me with making decisions on items to keep or donate or throw away.  We worked all day with a break for lunch.  Erin even took it upon herself to use a shop vac to sweep around the basement to get rid of cobwebs and general dirt that had accumulated over time.  When we were finished I was SO happy with my basement.  It's still an unfinished basement but now it's organized and clutter free.  Now I don't hate the thought of going down there to do the laundry because everything is neat and tidy.  I can find things down there right away when I want them too.
