It entailed a lot more work than I thought. They had to bust up three sections of the driveway in order to make it level and get a proper base and had to raise a drain in the driveway. Due to many issues with the county grinder in our front yard that the county has had to excavate our driveway had sunk down 3 inches. They created a smooth surface level to the sidewalk and did a nice job on the edges. We couldn't be more thrilled."

"Lazaro Bernal, owner of Horizon Landscaping Design, is extremely professional. He returned my calls promptly, showed up at my house as scheduled to provide an estimate, and accompanied his crew the day of the actual work to explain the project to them. Mr. Bernal and I had a detailed discussion about the color of mortar I wanted and I was quite satisfied with how well the finished mortar color coordinated with the slate. After his men had finished the job, Mr. Bernal came by my house again to check both the finished sidewalk and the weeding/mulching work. When I asked if one small area of the sidewalk could be made a bit more level, Mr. Bernal had his crew fix it immediately. I also asked if a bit more weeding could be done & more mulch put down and Horizon took care of that as well. (My flower beds really were quite overgrown.)
