"I had an 18 year old asphalt driveway that needed resurfacing. I started by getting estimates from several paving companies in my area. Most of them wanted to charge $3 per square foot for the resurfacing. According to research that I had done on the Internet, it should not be more than $2 per square foot. I finally decided to use the company that had installed the original driveway. His estimate was $2 per square foot. All of the companies had similar descriptions of exactly how they would do the resurfacing, so I was not concerned about the lower price. Plus they had done an excellent job of installing the original driveway and it had lasted 18 years without any problems.
