He suggested a couple of solutions considering the entire cost of the project, not just his portion (for example including the cost of hauling soil vs. regrading vs. repair work to a sprinkler system). We also worked out a plan where we could relocate some of our natural stone wall.
He told us he had a month's work ahead of ours, which was a bit of a bummer since we would have preferred the work to start sooner, but the work started on schedule. The work was completed quickly and was exactly what we wanted and agreed to.

"Jellison's Blacktop is very impressive and I highly recommend them. Wayne Jellison handled everything personally from initial bidding to final installation. His son, Mike, worked with their very competent and friendly crew on the tear-out and preparation and then, after a week or so of letting the base settle, Wayne and Mike worked together on the installation, handling the paving machine alongside each other, while their good crew handled the rolling and finishing. Wayne was the only person who bid my job to point out a probable deterioration of the front foundation of my 53 year-old garage, which supports the concrete garage floor. He brought in a cement sub-contractor to build a new base in front of and under the garage floor, before proceeding with the driveway installation. The problem on one side was even worse than Wayne anticipated. This fix has the double benefit of saving the garage floor from breaking down and insuring that the new asphalt will not sink below the level of the floor. All in all, this was a great job and the price was quite reasonable, as well."

John and Jerry company is the only ones who offered to help with the drainage and help prevent more water coming in to my lower level in feb. Jerry worked very hard to stop the water leakage during the winter when it was not yet time to work on the asphalt and put in a concrete apron. Now in the spring at the end of April they came out and added filling and repair to the damaged area which included part of my garage floor. There was so much more detail that I probably won't get right to fill in here but at the end I have a nice level area with a beautiful concrete apron that just doesn't seem like it could be any nicer or more perfect. I appreciate very much how the communication went and the quality of the work. They also put in the best product upgrade as Jerry explained. I was corrected about how I had over paid and told a lesser amount to make out my final check for."
