"They did fast work installing their product. They look beautiful. I had a water leak on one of their window frames; they promptly and professionally repaired it."

"Replaced window broken by yard work crew .. stone cracked a window. The crew arrived on time as agreed, the work was completed as promised. All clean up done so I had nothing to do afterwards. Yay. Will definitely use again should the need happen. Best price quoted. Many thanks."

"American Home Renewal did an excellent job. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, especially when dealing with the special circumstances and constraints of retrofitting windows within the guidelines of an HOA. Mark who ran my initial estimate and supported the project through the end of the contract creation and signing was always available to answer questions and willing to help out when I needed support with my HOA. The installation team did a wonderful job, they were prompt, professional, and courteous. And when I discovered several tears in one of the screens about a month after the project, AHR sent someone right out to fix it. I am extremely happy with my new windows - the house is much warmer and quieter now, and I've already recommended the company to several of my neighbors."

"Before setting in my window, James allowed me to paint the 3 support posts which would have looked horrible if they weren’t painted. Victor did a really nice job of putting in the garden window panes and reinserting the rubber sealing strips."

"Clear Edge is the clear choice for your door and windows needs! Professional, great value and service! A++++"

"Mike and Joel were awesome. They installed the doors quickly and ensured that they work and the cleanup was spotless. They were well experienced such that they identified the doors delivered were 3 inches short (Home Depot's fault) and worked with Home Depot to get new ones delivered and reinstalled them in quick time. They were kind, well mannered and wonderful human beings to work with :)"

They have not yet contacted me regarding the work to be done. As I am preparing to go on a vacation and will not return until the middle of next week, I'm in no hurry. If I haven't heard from them by the end of next week (May 29), I will contact them the following week.

Later:

I had paid the $1,000 advance by Visa through Angie's List, since Best Exteriors only accepts Pay Pal. Angie's sent them a check, but Best Exteriors said they didn't know what it was for, so it took two months to get an agreement signed. It seems to me that they could have called Angie's to ask what it was for. If I received a check for that much and didn't know why, I'd be on the phone right away to find out. I paid it in March. The job was done in July.

The crew of two men showed up on time and did a great job installing the windows. The problems started after the windows were in. The re-installed my two window air conditioners, but left large gaps around them where wind and water could get in.

They fixed one of them before they left, but I had to call the office to get the other one done. It was fixed a week later, but then Alex called me and said it was not part of their job to put the A/C back in, and the customer should make the arrangements for that. Well, alright, but he didn't tell me that when he came out to make the arrangements for the work to be done. It would have been a deal breaker for me, as I am elderly and not strong enough to do that. He said they had "gone above and beyond" by putting the A/C back in for me, but I don't think it's too much to expect them to put things back as they were when they started the job. Certainly they should have told me if it wasn't part of the agreement.

"I had my window frames replaced, They did the job within a reasonable time, did very nice job windows look great, cleaned up nicely, professional crew. If I need any other repairs on my home I would call them and would recommend them."

"Very professional and on time.  Scheduling was easy.  LIked working with the company.  But the estimate came through and seemed somewhat very high.
I have one estimate to do the entire house in James Hardie siding for 36K + permit costs.  The entire house is 2800 Square feet of siding (approx) if I wanted to replace the cedar siding plus the existing siding around the entire house.
However the estimate came in for just replacing the cedar shingles which is approximately 1120 square feet.
Cost was 31865 for the siding and replacement of the trim on the windows and doors was an additional 2,250.  Seemed a bit high.  I know its storm season, el nino and is probably very busy, but seems a bit high.  Thats 28.45 per square foot.
