"The company was initially very responsive and accomodating, working with me to arrange a time for them to come and look at what I wanted done and to give a quote. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the initial estimate appointment, and told them that they could come at any time that was convenient for them, since I would not be available during their normal working hours. It took about another week to get the quote. The quote was extremely reasonable, and for that reason, as well as the very positive reviews they had from other clients, we decided to hire them. Unfortunately, they were very busy, and we were not able to schedule a date for them to come to do the work until about 3-4 weeks later. They came on the day that we had arranged, and completed the powerwashing. Because of rain, they had to come back the following day to complete the washing and stripping of the old sealant. After they completed that step, they did not come back and I did not hear anything from them. When I called several days later, I was told that they had been unable to come back to sand and apply the new sealant because of the frequent rain. They were unable to give me a day that they may come back to complete the work. I called several more times over the next week to check on their status, and was told that the weather (rain) was making it impossible to schedule the work or tat they were trying to catch up on other jobs, and were only doing washing jobs at that time. They did come back about a week later to complete the job, but called me to say they could not find a power source (i.e. outlet) to plug their equipment into. (They had never mentioned to me that this was necessary; had they mentioned it prior to coming that day, I would have taken care of that). When I spoke with them later that day (after the crew had left without doing any work due to not having power), they told me that they would not be able to come for the rest of that week due to having other jobs to complete. I indicated that I was going on vacation for a week, and would not be able to set up for a power source (i.e. an extension cord running out of my garage) while I was gone. I expressed my frustration that no one had indicated that they needed a power source, and had they told me that, I would have made sure that it was available on the day they had come earlier that week. They promised that they would complete the job (weather-permitting) upon my return from vacation. The crew did come to my house on the day that was promised, and completed the job.
Overall, the work that was done was of very good quality. My main (and only) complaint, was how they handled the scheduling of the work. I am sympathetic that the weather made it difficult to complete the work, but I was frustrated with the lack of communication on their end. I felt like I had to get very pushy with them in order to get the work completed. I also felt frustrated that the majority of my communication was with someone in their office who was not involved in the actual work. I felt fortunate when I happened to still be at home on the morning that the crew came to sand/seal, so that I could ask them some questions and point out some minor repairs (i.e. loose railings that needed to be tightened up) that I was hoping to have done.
Based on the reviews I read about the company, I was surprised and discouraged by my personal experience with them. While they did very good work, I would probably not use the company again, simply because of the frustration that the experience caused."
