"We are deeply sorry you feel you didn't receive the 5 star service you deserve. The owner was on site that day and assures you the wood burning stove sweep was done correctly. The brushes swept the stainless steel single ply liner from top to bottom and we vacuumed the base of wood burning stove system. At the time of completion of the sweep, we were authorized by the decision maker to inspect the neighboring flue which was used by the heating appliances of the home. We then informed the customer before removing the smoke pipe which led from the oil furnace to the port the chimney that the cement was already cracked and loose. Following that we were given permission to remove the smoke pipe and inspect. Further more we did not report any immediate necessary repairs. AAA Chimney Experts urges each customer to take their time on their decision making regarding repair work and upgrades. We encourage every customer to get other estimates and opinions during this process. Reviewing the recommendations it appears AAA Chimney Experts explained to you the difference of lining systems. The current solid burning fuels of oil and wood currently in the home have single ply stainless lining systems. A double ply smooth wall stainless steel liner is recommended, for many reasons. We also stressed this was not a necessary repair, but a recommended upgrade. We made sure the customer understood that their set up was not against code. Their systems were installed properly and they were not in any immediate threat or danger. We merely informed you of the efficiency you would receive if you decided to upgrade. After explaining everything to the customer, we were given no further instructions regarding the chimney. The wall was also recommended to be sealed with high temperature furnace cement. The decision maker at the time informed us they would let us know what they will decide to do. About a week later we followed up with a quality control call. We like to make sure our customers are happy with the work and that the job was done to their satisfaction. Following any recommendations given we also see if their are any further questions. Unfortunately the customer did seem confused about the work performed along with the recommendations. A full refund was offered but never claimed. We like to leave every customer feeling comfortable about their experience with AAA Chimney Experts. Any further assistance you need please do not hesitate to call us at 888-907-4880."
