How Happy Are Philadelphia's Homeowners?

They don’t call Philadelphia the City of Brotherly Love for nothing. Not only is the city teeming with the rich history of our nation’s founding fathers, but it’s also blessed with the kinds of schools and municipal services that make its homeowners happy. Unfortunately, the city’s older homes offer little in the way of closets, garages and master bedrooms — which puts Philadelphia slightly below average when it comes to homeowner happiness. The good news is that nearly three-quarters of Philly homeowners say their home is worth more than they paid for it. So, many homeowners are building equity that will help them finance the kitchen, bathroom and walkway improvements that will make them happier.
