signed contract on 9/23. finally got to the roof and he applied the new roof and it looks like. he did agree to correct it but got called to another job. i called him friday night and i told him that i don't want the cheap combustible sheathing (celotex)that was suppossed to be insulation and the bubbled up rubber has to go. can't put felt and shingles on the roof because it would now have 2 vapor barriers. if the rubber is ripped off, the sheathing will be no good. he even said he wasn't aware it was combustible, i had to show him. called friday no respons. called today he was coming back wednesday, no reply. he has $1600 and no roof.

Vinyl Siding - Repair or Partially Replace
High level of professionalism. Took pride in the work which showed in the final product;the project mostly involved vinyl siding. Took time to listen and recommend options that suited our needs. Price was excellent and quality of the work was top notch. Did not expect to have so many options; went into the project to do siding but found that other needed projects could be incorporated without blowing budget. Had windows replaced, new gutters and even new exterior light fixtures (pretty much had about three major projects completed). The team showed up on time, cleaned up after and completed the work in a reasonable timeframe.

Our experience with Around the House Handyman has been terrific. We had some unexpected rain during the repairs but Al worked through the rain to waterproof our front door before returning the next morning. Thereafter, he performed unique and excellent metalwork on three of our weathered doors. The workmanship was careful and meticulous, and not to mention that Al is certified in mold remediation - he excised some growths in our basement ceiling. All in all, Around the House stayed within our budget and that we felt the prices were fair. We would recommend them to our friends and family.

Prompt response and very willing to accommodate to my schedule. Honest estimate with very fair price. Brian did an excellent repair job on our roof and thoroughly checked for other damage. He also installed rooftop antenna ensuring proper securing to attic studs. Excellent, timely and honest. Highly recommended!

Vinyl Siding - Repair or Partially Replace
Al was friendly and informative when he talked to us. He did an excellent job fixing a bad siding job on our sunroom, and shoring up the supports as well. The new siding looks 100 times better than the old, and is properly flashed to prevent water intrusion (which was the original problem). Would definitely recommend.

I liked the fact that the company provided a cell number and not just the office number. I called the cell phone number provided and spoke to Al right away. I informed him of the issue I had with my house and he informed me that he could meet me at the house in around an hour and a half to take a look at the problem. The whole time on the phone with Al was a good experience and even in person Al was very nice and knowledgeable and was very personable. I was able to make an appointment to fix the problem with in a couple of days and the pricing was reasonable. Great experience with this company.

Vinyl Siding - Repair or Partially Replace
We needed a contractor to remove a section of siding, find our air leak, insulate, and reinstall the siding. Al showed up on time and evaluated and made suggestions as to what would best resolve our problem. He also did a walk around the house and pointed out items to keep an eye on over the next year or two. (That was totally unexpected and was a plesant suprise) Work was done quickly, very professionally and he completely cleaned up the site. A very plesant experience. Would recommend his work to everyone.

Al was great! He came by on time to give an estimate, did a thorough inspection of the job and gave me a price which was very fair. He was the next day to do the job, it was professionally done, and completed in a very timely fashion. It is hard to get someone to do a small job anymore and especially someone who is skilled at what he does. I know I will use him in the future.

Al looked over the crawl space, outside of the house and the garage. He didn't find any termite damage. While he was there he fixed some pieces of siding that were loose. I was quite happy with his work and his candor.

al is a great guy does gr8 work, showed up did work left 4 other work, then came back ask 4 more$ we gave 2 him his employees quit, he came back did work, slowly getting there he left again 4 other work, some time later new guys show with him all fell apart, put room up roof walls etc, finish interior roof leaks, trys to fix, did not work, i had 2 hire roofer 2 fix, interior walls real bad new guys and al left house unfinished soffet missing in back, siding keeps falling off, gutters in front have big gaps , called with no response, my dad was due to move in had cancer no call back dad never made it here, still need work finished pls help

What you are falling to mention was the fact that every time I came back was on your request to do other projects for you. I went way beyond the scope of what I was contracted to do and it cost me. I did $50.000 of work for $30.000. It seems you was happy with my work as long as I was doing it for free"

Deck or Porch - Repair
Al and his two co-workers did a very good job repairing/staining our deck. They also repaired a leak in the roof of our shed and did some light painting on the exterior of our house. The work was completed quickly and we have been receiving compliments from all of the neighbors.

Drywall - Repair
I hired Around the House to tape and compound large sections of new drywall & prime and paint the areas. Al & Vince from Around the House did a great job! They got the job done extremely fast, were very neat & were very responsive. Their work is flawless & the worked within my timeframe to get it all done. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
