Empire Garage Doors

I called Empire to get a quote on replacing springs on my garage door. They gave me a very reasonable quote and I decided to hire them. They failed to come during the appointment time. When I called, they said their system broke and they had no record of our address or appointment. They did send someone out about an hour later. When the technician came out, he told me it would be double what I had been quoted. He stated that they are not supposed to give quotes over the phone and the price I was given was the starting price. After pushing back, and almost deciding to have the technician leave without fixing the door, he talked to a supervisor who honored the quoted price. The work was done very well, however the pricing felt very deceptive.

Awesome company and workers. Two guys came and estimated 45 min, but ran into more issues, they kept the same price quoted and they did the work 100% very good company and crew.

Don't use them, poor customer service.

Scheduled between 4/5PM and showed after 6 ( they did call to report lateness). Repair quote started at $450 and negotiated to $329. After almost 2 hours of trying they could not fix door and left it in worse shape than arrival. Tried to sell me a new operator. Did not charge any fee. They did not have the basic understanding to repair my Liftmaster 8500 operator, Within 1 hour I repaired door springs and cable enough to work manually.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. After being told that I would need to replace the entire unit at $400, the repair came down to a replacement remote opener. And I was charged $149.00 for a remote that cost $30. I repeatedly told them that I would pay for the trip charge, that i wanted him to give me an estimate and I would decide later what i would do, but it came down to just getting the remote to get him to leave. I felt pressured to buy. I called the next day and asked that they call me to arrange to come back, pick up the remote and give me a refund. Since I have not heard from anyone I contacted my bank and I am disputing the charge now.

Came out to do repair on a Sunday morning , quickly identified problem and completed repair

Overcharged for services. Technician could not understand service needed. Very sloppy work area was left for customer clean up. Suspect credentials with no street address. Charged $425. for 1/5 hours of work. Arrived 1/2 hour early while customer was conducting business by phone. Should have called a Bucks county vendor.

After replacing spring onbdoor we discussed pricing on new updatwd garage door openerscfor borh garage doors. 3 year warranty and less than a $1000 to replace and install all the guts. The gentleman Mike very nice guy and wasn't trying to rip off my father in law.
