How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because Generation 3 Electric has been servicing the electrical needs of the Philadelphia metro area for three generations. Gen3 is your friendly neighborhood electrician. My Father apprenticed to his Father—and I apprenticed to mine, repeating an invaluable tradition of child labor and a great place to learn a trade. Beginning at the age of 13, I worked with my dad every weekend and summer vacation in homes throughout Philadelphia repairing and rewiring all levels of residential electrical systems. Studying electrical engineering and earning a degree in architecture has given me a solid advantage in solving the myriad of residential electrical problems. Generation 3 Electrical, Inc. takes pride in every job—building confidence by how we do things—by being prompt, thorough and leaving every job site finished and clean..

We started in this industry in 2000.

The technician was really nice & professional and explained the problem in a very simple way. The company was able to send me a technician in less than 24 hrs. When done, he left the job area like nothing ever happened there. Super clean and no missing parts on the floor or nothing like that. I really recommend them!

Although a bit pricey, the work was done promptly and on time, and it was done properly. There was nothing left to clean up. (The electrician, who I liked very much) took away all the cardboard packing material so that it didn't fill up my recycling bin. A nice touch. Overall I am very happy with the work and would use GEN3 again.
