Brothers Yonis and Edgar together with their team remodeled our kitchen and bathroom. The result was fantastic! All our friends admire our kitchen and bathroom now. Yonis and his company will give you a fair price with great quality. This team went extra miles in helping and advising us. We didn t even plan to remodel the bathroom in the first place! Everything was done in time. Yonis, Edgar, Mario, Arturo and others became our friends during the remodel and we enjoyed having them around. We highly recommended them! We plan to hire them again for our next projects.

Terrible experience with this company! A total disaster from beginning to end. The put my house and our family at risk from all the mishandlings they made. The plumbing, electrical, and sheetrock work they did was completely wrong and not to code. They lied to me multiple times. This company is a total fraud. You will regret having done any business with these people.

"K&B Remodeling & Sons, Inc. endeavors to provide excellent remodeling service to its clients. Unfortunately, there are situation where K&B Remodeling is unable to assist clients with their projects ? specifically when the project was commenced by other contractors, without permits, and underbudget. As we advised you, K&B Remodeling provides its estimate for home remodels based on the condition of the project, however unforeseen conditions or additional work requests from the homeowner will result in an increase in cost, labor and materials. Unfortunately, despite K&B Remodeling?s diligent work, and as we advised you, your home remodeling project required significant changes to the work previously completed by the previous contractor as well as a number of work arounds to complete the work you requested. We are considerate of homeowner?s budgets and understand when the scope of work is cost prohibitive to them, but we will always work with clients to ensure that their financial situation can be addressed through scheduled work- as was in your project. Compounding the issues in your project caused by your previous contractor, was commencing the project with your previous contractor without obtaining the necessary building permits and/or completing architectural and structural engineering plans. As we repeatedly advised you, attempting to complete construction projects without a building permit is not recommended. The city and county building permits ensure that construction work complies with existing building codes -- for your and the future owners of your home's safety. Avoiding getting building permits solely to avoid property tax reassessment is not advisable and contrary to the law. We advised you that the structural changes to your home required architectural and structural engineering plans that you stated was undesirable because it would require you to report the work to the County of San Mateo building department and would result in a property tax reassessment. As we repeatedly advised you, building permits are there for your, the public's and future owner's protection. It will also protect you against future liabilities should you sell your home. Finally, we encourage all our clients to contact the California Contractor State Licensing Board for additional information about construction building standards and other resources at www.cslb.ca.gov. We advised you of the same and continue to stand by the work that we completed. We are a highly regarded construction company and will always work with our clients to ensure that they are completely satisfied with our work and budget. It is unfortunate that we were unable to satisfy you. We sincerely wish you the best in your project and strongly encourage you to complete the project with the necessary building permits."

We hired K&B Remodeling and Sons, Inc. to remodel our mom's very old bathroom which needed some serious updating. Yonis came, gave us some suggestions, detailed estimate and timeline. He was true to his words. He did not disappoint us. The project completion and cost both were on target. From the first meeting till the completion of the project, either Yonis, the owner or Edgar his ever so pleasant brother were there every single day. They are professionals and very responsive. Yonis is a contractor that will go out of his way according to the client's needs. They are total professionals and don't like cutting corners. And at the same time, they are kind and considerate. Edgar took me shopping to pick out the tiles for the floor, the shower, granite for walls, vanity and fixtures. I wanted a custom built vanity and some extra storage space. They were very accommodating. We now have custom built vanity and storage space which we are very happy with. Needless to say, this project had some curves due to "this old house". But it didn't phase out Yonis and his team. Yonis consulted with us and knew exactly how to fix the problem. Another amazing thing about this team is that throughout the entire renovation, we still had the use of the toilet. Even when it was relocated with extra plumbing work. The amazing team made sure that end of each day the commode was hooked up and functioning - very commendable. Everyone was always punctual. They are responsive, efficient, very clean and neat group. It was a pleasure working with such an amazing group. We are also very grateful to Yonis, Edgar and their entire team for the consideration and kindness towards our 89 years old mom. We passed all the inspections with flying colors. The bathroom looks absolutely AWESOME. We couldn't have been any happier with the end result. From the granite shower wall, the floor tiles, shower doors, fixtures to the paint all look fantastic. This could not have been possible without the professional help and expertise from Yonis, Edgar and their entire team. We are very pleased with the outcome. They are definitely on top of our list of contractors for all our future renovations. We highly recommend K&B and Sons, Inc. So if you are looking for a Licensed Contractor that is professional, extremely knowledgeable and knows his craft then you don't have to look far. Great large crew with no subcontractors. Hard and fast workers. Yonis has been very helpful with finish selection vendors, choices and finding the best prices for materials. He has excellent taste and a good eye for design recommendations. I did not choose them based solely on initial price, and I am very glad I did choose them. They have been very flexible and helpful and truly take pride in their work, always going beyond expectations. As I added scope to my project, they priced the add on work very reasonably and even added some additional work at no cost. I recommend them without hesitation and will be using them again.

My Wife and I would like to thank Yonis and his crew for doing such a great job. From the start to the finish he always did what he said he would do, plus more. When there were changes, he was always ready to change and didnâ t charge any extra for the additions / changes. Finished well within the projected time frame. He gave us a same day quote, and stuck to it. If we could give more than (5) Stars we would. He took us to the cabinet shop where the custom cabinets were made. Also, took my wife to the store to shop for the countertop and backsplash. Installed a hardwood floor in the kitchen. And, was always careful in regards to the rest of the house. Trying to keep the dust, etc. in the construction area. The employees were always on time, and were very professional. We would hire him again in a flashâ ¦. There is one happy Lady in the house with Her new Kitchen....

Just like all contractors I think you need to stay on top of him and to make those phone calls. He does do a great job at fulfilling our commitment and coming back if something came up that I didn't like.

I am so impressed with Yonis and K&B Remodeling. They did a great job remodeling my two bathrooms. The workers were always on time and would stay until the work was done for the day. Before I hired Yonis, I checked him out carefully and read nothing but compliments. Besides my bathrooms, Yonis installed hardwood floors throughout my home. I had tried to hire other floor company's, but Yonis found me the same hardwood floors, but the price was less and his workers did a good job with the installation, I will definitely recommend K&B.

I am extremely pleased with this company and would hire them again. The workmanship was great and Yonis explained everything as the project progressed. The workers themselves were courteous and timely and easy to work with. At the end of the work day, their tools and supplies and the work area were tied and cleaned. Good value for the money.

I checked background, BBB, licenses, reviews and all were impressive and accurate. Very, very pleased with this company. All workers were on time or early, courteous, and I felt comfortable around them. I was informed for each day who to expect. The work was excellent! Materials and craftsmanship were exceptional. They don't do things half way - only the best. They take pride in their work and it shows. I highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to work with and in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use Yonis and his crew again.

I would definitely hire Yonis from K&B remodeling again for future projects and I recommend him highly to others. I took 3 bids on this project and chose K&B for competitive pricing, high business ratings, and they seemed easy to work with when we met. Our project was a complete bathroom remodel, moving the location of everything to make the most of the space. We also wanted to retain the arts and crafts look fitting with our 1920's house. The project went smoothly, passed all city inspections, ran on time, on budget and everything met our high quality expectations with attention to detail and symetry. They were able to do the jet tub installation with shower, pocket door, bead boarding, and new window without any problem which demonstrates their expertise. All the craftsman involved were happy, respectful, professional and tidy.
