On the first day for the three day project they arrived nearly an hour late from the time I was informed they would be there after working a total four hours with a hour a forty-five minute lunch. I was informed that my contract need to be redone due to removing the kitchen floor from the original contact, since i was not will to pay for an extra day in the amount of $750.00 The reasoning for the need extra day was he had to put a Flange on my toilet which took up his time. However although they removed the $1500.00 charge they charged me $735.00 for the flange he claim he put on but did not, he put a new flange on top of the old one when he showed me the next day. On day two February 27th they arrived @8:30:am and only Joey comes in alone and informs me I need to sign the new contract on removal of the floor and the money for the work on flange . Joey informed me when I inquired that his worker will only work if I sign the new contract. Joey actually stated he was not trying to bully me, however if I don't sign I forfeit all money paid and no labor will be preformed, as my bathroom was in disarray I signed the second contract to get the job completed. Once I signed the contract when Joey took up the toilet for the completion of the work he then showed the flange. They stayed upstairs until 11:30:am then took lunch. They returned from lunch about 1:00 pm and return to the bathroom until 3:30pm, Upon them leaving I went to examine the advance of work that was done and all I found was some spackle on the wall and the replaced piece of sheet rock applied where the sink was. As the spackle was still wet I took my video showing not much improvement today over this 6x8 room. Friday 2/28/25 last day of the project, they arrived a little after 8:am with another young man, at this point I was a little baffled as how three people will work in the space, however i said as long as it get done. I heard the sander hitting the tub over the time, and the new young man and Joey would come down and go outside with the tray for the spackle. Lunch time came at 11:30:am the two works left out and Joey called me upstairs to show the tub with the toilet sitting inside the tub. Joey proceeded to inform me my tub need to be removed or it will fall through the floor soon, which would require a new contract for removal and of course more money. My reply was let me think on this as they were out for lunch I then realize his assessment was not properly informative as he did not check the structure that held the tub or any of my foundation around the tub. I am positive of this fact as to assess and work on my plumbing directly for my tub is located in my bedroom which was lock everyday they were here. He never saw the back or bottom of my tub, I got a phone call from his brother Louse who proceeded to tell me what was I need to do when I informed him the removal of my tub was not his concern, he then went to me not wanting the contract fulfilled to which I replied Not So, I just want to know what time are they going to be finish the contract today because I not extending until Monday, Louis the proceeded to tell me about the refund for removal of the tub and I request the 3.5% I paid to us the credit card, He in turned told me I owe the another $100 and some odd dollar for them to complete any work in my house. After speaking with him on the phone I request we me in the police station to settle the matter, they refused and said the called the police for there tools my reply was thank you because as Joey stated the day before he was not trying to bully me while now I felt bullied and taken advantage of. I called the police as well and when they arrived I filed a report and got my DC number for any legal action. Then I text them they may pickup there tools on my porch to which they did about 5:15:pm. That was our last direct contact.

Long story short, we had a random handyman come to our house and do more harm than good. We hired Joey from Ortiz Finish Work through Angi to come fix the other guy's mistakes, and we could not be happier with the results. Joey is everything you want in someone you're letting into your home. Super polite, incredibly honest and fair, and most importantly, highly skilled. There was never a doubt that he didn't know what he was doing. It was a job that a few people had turned down and one guy had already messed up. Joey not only took the job, but he executed it perfectly. I could not recommend Joey and Ortiz Finish Work more. They will always be our first call moving forward.

The Handyman that was sent over to my home was extremely generous and honest. I was given a fair estimate to replace all of my outlets and light fixtures as well as 2 fans. He completed the work quickly and efficiently while Maintaining his professional composure. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking for any handyman work.
