This contractor by the name of Tim Gu was very nice in the very beginning when he basically wanted to get the job, and my money. Throughout the time period in which he worked on my home he quickly began to change. He was very rude and arrogant and could barely speak fluent English, and often needed my help in understanding what he was trying to say or explain. There were some things in which I didnâ t agree with and when I tried expressing that he would quickly get angry and tell me to get someone else to finish the job. He was hired initially to finish my basement which was just a concrete floor and walls. The plumbing job he did was something I had never ever seen before in my life time, He claims to have run into an issue with a cracked pipe, and that slowed down his progress. So, he then asked for an 8K deposit to start the job on the first floor of my home. Against my better judgement I gave him the money in good faith there would be no other issues. When I would express my concerns with the way I expected the finish work to look he then again became very angry and threatened to walk off the unfinished job. We were some how able to get pass that, but quickly returned to him walking off the job again, and thatâ s exactly what he did with my 8K simply because I asked for receipts for what heâ d purchased this far. He said that he had spent 3k of the 8k and that he would refund me the balance of the 8k which would have been 5K via the mail. I then asked why couldnâ t he refund me in the manner in which I paid him which was a check in his hands ? He became very rude and said he was done and for me to find someone else to finish the job !!! Which in my opinion, was very unprofessional. As a paying customer, I, like many others have the right to voice our opinions about what he was hired to do.
