Terminix

We called for a bug problem for my 80 yr old mother's house. They sent 2 men, one to spray for the bugs and 1 to check for termites. Of course they found termites, and the initial bug problem is not resolved. We had to call them back because we still saw bugs after the spraying and they would only put something in the kitchen. They had a high pressure approach to the termite contract and we were convinced that we had to go with it, but because of the cost chose to finance it with them. There was a "mistake" in billing and the entire amount was taken from the account at one time, leaving my mother in a strapped position. Not a good experience.

The technition was excellent and professional. I do believe the service was a little overpriced for what it was, considering I still had to bring in a handyman to plug the larger holes. He did however tell me where the mice were coming from, place baits and spray for bugs. Also, they signed me up for a "free termite inspection" that was nothing more than a sales pitch for their termite service. That was annoying. The guy barely inspected before launching into his elaborate scare-tactic laden pitch. But overall, the mouse/bug guy was professional and gracious and did his job.

The technician arrived on time, explained the task he performed and completed his work as scheduled.

I was tired of spending money on home remedies to get rid of fleas, so I decided to call in the experts (Terminix). They were more expensive than others, but I thought they would do a better job. Service was great, plus the exterminator was friendly, and considerate. But, after my entire home was treated, I still have the flea problem. Other companies told me they automatically returned after two weeks for a 2nd treatment, but I had to contact Terminix and get them to treat my home again for no extra fee.

There was a definite problem with the communication from the first scheduled visit. THe office was not able to contact the tech to find out what the problem was and I had to wait over 4 hours to get service. When the tech did show up, he could not do the work because he did not have any chemicals left. I was again rescheduled for the following Monday at 5:30. The tech sent a sub at 4:45 due to a dog bite. I was really unhappy about all the reschedulings and the runaround from the main office. After all was said and done, I did receive the service and a discount of $50 off the original price.

I've only had one visit but I paid for the year. The first visit was very good and what I expected. The gentleman that came to my home was very courteous and informative. Every time I called the office, the people were very friendly and informative also. So far, I am very happy with your recommendation.
