ABSOLUTE CHIMNEY SVC.

I have hired this company many times in the past. They repaired my stucco chimney and they performed chimney sweeps several times with no issues. I hired them last fall to fix my stone steps that were missing mortar. They performed the work. All was well for 4 months. I discovered one of the new mortar joints was cracked and needed to be replaced....maybe a 10 minute job. I called Absolute Chimney in June, 2018. They scheduled to come out and repair the job. However, they never showed up. I have been trying for 6 months to reach them. I have called both phone numbers on their website and left messages at least a dozen times. I have emailed them with no response back. I am really disappointed in Jason. He seemed like a good guy when I dealt with him on past jobs and when they performed work for me. Now...there is no way to reach this company and they certainly don't stand behind their work. They are totally and completely unreachable. They lost my business.

Jason and his staff were very friendly and professional. The pricing was very reasonable.i would definitely use them again. <br />

I am very happy with the service. The chimney hasn't been this clean since I moved in 10 years ago. I rent the house and I doubt the chimney had ever been well cleaned. I had it swept three times before but that didn't get deep down enough to prevent a continual build up of soot over the years. <br />

They were great. They cleaned up the mess afterwards. They did exactly what they were supposed to do, they came out and it was all with exactly what they promised. The price was fine; it was within our budget.

Took a few trips to get the required number of people and equipment as they focused on getting the job done correctly. <br />

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was for $99. There was a dead animal in the chimney and they charged me $300 to get rid of the animal. They removed the animal and they didn't tell me about it until afterwards so I was very unhappy about that. It turned out my chimney had a damage attached to it and that was not part of the deal so that was $300. I was caught flabbergasted but he comes down to review everything and tells me that it was $299 to remove a dead animal and I was like, "$2.99" and he said, "No. It's $300." and this was after he removed it. He didn't tell me before that removing an animal would cost $300. I was taken aback by that. I didn't see the removed animal and it all happened so fast. I was in shock, I didn't ask to see the animal. They did the job and it took them a couple of days. The price and what happened kind of really left a bad case. I should have done something right then and there but I was in shock. I guess I will not use them again. I would look around a little bit more.

Guys were very nice and did a good job.  They cleaned up after themselves. <br />

We needed a lot of work done to our chimney. Jason was very responsive initially and came right out to provide an estimate. He and his crew did do the work, but about a week later there was water coming in again. I called Jason and he came back out to take a look. He could not pinpoint how the water was coming in, so he indicated that he would come back at some point with a colleague or someone else he knew in the industry to try and locate the point of entry for the water. Since that was a pretty big issue and he couldn't figure it out by himself, I was fine with him coming back at a much later point for that. <br /> However, while he was at our house looking into the water issue, he mentioned that there was still an issue with the damper that needed to be fixed. This was under the scope of work he had just completed- something with the damper had to be slightly adjusted. It seemed minor and he said that he or his crew would be out next week to fix it. From that point on, I NEVER heard from him again despite numerous follow up calls, numerous voicemails etc. I spoke with the people who answer and field the calls asking for Jason to call me back- he never would. I called him on his cell phone at one point since he had called me from that number and spoke with him directly on the phone upon which he made an appt with me for the following week for the damper issue and he never showed. He didn't call or anything to say he wasn't going to show. I have never dealt with an owner of a company or a company in general this unresponsive. Any calls I have made have been ignored and never answered. You would think that after spending over $4,000 on a job, you would get some level of decent customer service, especially when the owner said there was an issue that still needed to be fixed- he brought it up.I would never use this business again- I have never had such lack of responsiveness from a company or a company that regularly schedules appts and then no one shows at all or calls to say they are not showing up. Totally unprofessional. <br />

I was very, very pleased with their services. I liked their responsiveness, professionalism, the quality of their work, and their ability to listen and communicate their ideas clearly. At the time they were doing the work I had just purchased a new stove and they stated that they would install the stove for me. Which is one of the reasons I went with them. The day that they were coming to do the work, which included putting a liner in the chimney as well as installing the stove, they were punctual. The crew arrived. They took care to make sure everything was neat. Then when they went to install the stove that weighed more than 700 pounds, the crew consisted of maybe 3 or 4 people, I know what it must have taken to move it from where it was delivered to where it had to go. They did it with no complaints. It was a brand new design with the stove and catalytic converter and so forth just released. There was some confusing information when I pulled out the manual. Things that he didn't understand he actually called the company and spoke with a representative of the company. They guided him through certain installation procedures. The job turned out very neat. There was a section that my wife wanted bricked up. It wasn't really something that was in the original thing. They bricked it up. It wasn't a large area. It was a small area. They were very neat, and great to work with. What they did in the follow through in figuring out the problems with the stove and the couple missing bricks I consider great things.

Excellent from state to finish.  The job was completed quickly and with great efficiency.  The crew arrived on time just as promised and started work after a short discussion let me know what to expect.  They protect my roof to prevent damage to a roof that is less than two years old.

From start to finish, Jason and his crew were a pleasure. His estimate was much lower than the other provider I contacted, and he explained what was necessary to do immediately and what we could wait on.  He was very considerate of our time and would call to let us know when they were coming, and when not (the job was weather-dependent).  The work was done in a very professional manner and the results were aesthetically impressive and we've had no leaks since.  They were extremely nice and I'm very glad to recommend them.

They responded very quickly to my phone call and were able to schedule the service within a few days.  This is especially important because I called a few days before Thanksgiving and they were still able to fit me in.  Highly Recommended.
