American Drainz was referred by a colleague after hearing my frustration over the cost of plumbing work I needed in my home. I had other estimates and I felt they were overpriced. My colleague was pleased with their work and their price. I tried them out and I would definitely use them again. Very professional, punctual and fairly priced. They were very caring about my home and cleaned up nicely after the job was complete.

Excellent service. Explained and showed me exactly what was needed as far as a hot water heater. Fixed the leak under my kitchen sink and even replaced the lid on my damaged drain trap outside!! You guys Rock!!!! Thank you so much!!

I filled out a request on Angieslist.com concerning a gurgling in my pipes on January 21st. I received a call from Brandon with American Drainz within 30 minutes and set up an appointment for the next day. Brandon arrived and after snaking a few different drains he came to the conclusion that I needed a new lateral pipe and drain trap. He quoted the full job on the spot and impressed an extreme sense of urgency on me to complete this job immediately to stop further damage. He said he had put a rush order on the permits and would hopefully be able to start work the following day. I called Brandon a few times over the next couple of days to clarify the scope of work and question price of the job after hearing mixed responses of comparable jobs in the area. He reiterated that the permits were expensive and the price was fair. He also called to let me know we would not be starting the project until Friday the 26th. I let him know that I was not going to be home the majority of the day, he said that was not a problem that no one needed to be here until the very end to let them in to run the water. I said I was not comfortable with that and would have someone there but that I needed to be called if there were any problems. At the start of the day, Brandon and an associate were there to make sure the area was clear for the plumbers & excavators to start digging. An hour or so later a man came to my door identifying himself as the lead plumber on the job. After asking him a series of questions it became clear that he did not have a good understanding of the work they were to do that day. I immediately called Brandon and asked him to once again clarify the scope of work. Brandon assured me that the proper work was being done but that the lead plumber didn’t always know what he was talking about. I left for the day and my boyfriend was at the house to let the men in and out as needed. They were to call me with any questions or issues that may have arisen. Around 4:30pm (est) my boyfriend let me know that the work had been completed and at 6pm I had a call from my boyfriend along with a series of photos showing a large quantity of water in my basement with more actively flowing in. The men had left and had to be called back to start fixing the situation. I called Brandon and asked him to explain what was happening. I received a brief explanation and when I asked why I had not been contacted as soon as the incident occured, he couldn’t give me an answer. When I got back to the house, Brandon was present and offered to put me up in a hotel. I needed to be brought up to speed on what was happening, he proceeded to pull out his phone and show me a photo of the pipe that had been knocked loose prior the flooding. He explained that they had taken a photo of the pipe because they had noticed the bad patch job when they were repairing the lateral pipe and drain trap. At no point did they contact me to ask if they could have permission to repair the poorly patched pipe. He then explained that when they back-filled the hole, the patch was knocked loose and the water main then flowed freely into the house which is what caused the flooding. I asked why no one had contacted me about this prior and also wanted to know why I had not been contacted when the flooding began. It took approximately 7 days to clean up the mess and two months later the repair has failed and I am having flooding in my basement again.

The technician was very polite and clean. He explained what was broken and what caused it to be broke. He Then he showed me different options of faucets to choose from.

Brandon carefully and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and why. I so appreciated the breakdown of everything It made it very clear. He is a pleasant and professional gentleman. I felt comfortable leaving him in my home while I ran errands.

They were very courteous, got in and out without any mess. My wife and I were very satisfied with their service. They did an excellent job. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.
