Joe and his team at AG did a fantastic job! What drew me to the company was their local location, their mostly positive reviews and the fact that they followed up w/neg reviews. I reached out for a quote - got Joe on the phone - he was at my house the next day. Through the whole process our communication was good - I got other similar quotes - but Joe and I got along great right away so he got the job. AG was ready to work - they showed up and on the first day, my back yard was leveled! They worked hard and quickly. Even came on a Saturday! In 8-9 days it was done and what a transformation! Our dream back yard in less than two weeks:) Thanks Joe, Andrew (site manager/Joe’s brother) and to the whole crew. We couldn’t be happier. Recommended!

Avant Gardens did a great job redoing our backyard into a multifunctional space with a car park, patio and new fence. The brickwork, paving and grading were absolutely professional. Juan, Julio & Eddie were punctual and courteous, communicating frequently regarding issues that inevitably come up. We are so happy with the result.

Avant Gardens was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Owner and operator team Joe and his brother Andrew provided consistent communication throughout the entire project which I find to be very unusual compared to other contractors I have worked with. Joe met with me multiple times, on my schedule, to discuss the vision for the project and ensured that I was comfortable before taking any next steps. He and his brother, with a combined 50+ years experience, are so knowledgeable and lent their expertise when selecting the perfect plants for my yard conditions and my garden is thriving. The team started on-time and worked throughout the entire day to keep the project on track. Every member of the team is respectful and highly skilled in their craft given me confidence that the job would be done right and it was. I live in a city row home and had my entire front yard removed and new garden beds installed. I had custom stone garden beds installed in my backyard as well. In addition to the 100+ plantings the team brought in they build custom fences and gates to my specifications. Joe said there wasn't a project they couldn't tackle and he proved me right. I am pleased with my new gardens and would highly recommend the Avant Gardens team.

Here's the headline; 9 of 12 bushes dead after one week and <br /> no return call after four attempts in seven days. I had a similar experience to <br /> and quot;Free The Penguins Kand quot; and will strongly recommend you don't use Avant <br /> Gardens. Dan, the project manager, seemed reasonable early on and then issues <br /> arose. First he was late with the design plans. Then, he wouldn't return our <br /> calls, opting to communicate through email in a less-than-timely fashion. We <br /> requested shrubs for the side of our house that were low maintenance and resilient; <br /> we aren't gardeners and simply wanted some green that wouldn't require much <br /> care. He installed twelve bushes along with a fence and an irrigation system <br /> (how resilient are bushes that need an irrigation system?). Our spigot leaked <br /> so it needed to be repaired before the irrigation system could be installed. <br /> Dan told us to get it done as the bushes needed water. We soaked them, then <br /> left for a five day vacation, planning to get it fixed when we returned. During <br /> those five days away, it rained twice. We returned home to 9 of the 12 bushes <br /> dead. In five days!!! Two posts from the fence were gone as well (after I <br /> explicitly asked for the fence to be anchored in concrete because I worried <br /> about it being stolen). I called Dan four times in the next week to learn more <br /> about the dead plants and have the final installation of the irrigation system <br /> completed. After three calls, he chose to email my wife rather than call me back. <br /> I have still not heard from him and spent my Sunday afternoon pulling out and <br /> throwing away the dead bushes. Stay far, far away from this company. Even if <br /> they believe the dead bushes were my fault, I deserve a call back and a <br /> completed project. <br /> <br /> <br />

They did an amazing job. However I arranged a follow up appointment that they did not attend. I had asked them to work for me regularly but they were waffling back and forth about whether they were interested. I guess they were not interested in the end. I think they are doing business properties but not residential properties any more? We are having a terrible time finding landscapers in downtown Philly. <br />

They were great. They were wonderful. They were on time and I like the changes they made and I am, planning to use them again. They were also very professional.

Avante showed up on time, completed job on time at the right price. Would definitely use this company for any future exterior work. <br /> <br />

They were very responsive and did what I asked of them. They couldn't find the exact material that I had wanted. They did go the extra mile to help me find what I wanted, though. They did find fast growing plant materials which was what I wanted. He is a professional designer who has a lot of ideas of his own. I will be using them again.

They did a nice job and did what they said they would. Someone took a day of work to be there when they were and they did not show up the first time the said they would. They did come back and finish the job though.

They were very responsive and they did quite a good job. They did a nice design job and we were very happy with the work. They even came back and replaced plants that did not make it.

I had a good relationship with the workers, but difficulty with the managers. When the manager was here, he was not the best. The actual work was about an 8 or 9 on a scale of 1 to 10, and working with the managers about a 6 or 7. I found it easier to deal with the workers to get what I wanted. They were all very courteous and polite.

They came out and really listened to what we wanted. They did what we asked them to do. The workers did a really good job. They did what they said they were going to do. There weren't any surprises on the bill, which was a plus.

Avant has done work in our gardens before and they do great work. Their crew is always on time and very courteous. Their pricing is very reasonable.

Chris (our primary contact and designer) was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive and available, a rarity among contractors. There was some last-minute changes that I believe could have been (and we would have preferred) to have resolved earlier, but the result was good and the changes had only negligible effect on price in the end. Joe (who headed up the actual build) had good, concrete suggestions. They also coordinated well with another contractor who was there at the same time. Finally, price seems a bit expensive to us, but it was comparable to another estimate we received.

THESE PEOPLE ARE LANDSCAPERS AND FIND NO JOB TOO LARGE OR TOO SMALL. EVEN THOUGH MY TRANSACTION WAS SMALL THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
