Brian Anthony's Refrigeration & HVAC

These guys had zero idea of what they were doing. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. They were here forever and on the phone with their boss and truly didn?t have a clue. We finally sent them away after about 3 hours where they just bumbled around. Paid the $99 house call . Which I shouldn?t have. We called a reputable HVAC Co. and the tech found our problem and fixed it pronto. It was no big deal. Please do not have these guys come to your home. One of them just walked around talking on the phone.

No!!! They put up a hanging rack it fell down in two days and I was injured in the process. I attempted to call them they said they would come back to fix the rack and never returned. I would not recommend them to anyone!!! If they did this for a simple repair imagine if they did heating and something goes wrong. Please screen your providers more carefully.

Badly. The thermostat he sold me was defective, and Brian Anthony, the firm's owner, would not honor his commitment to replace the thermostat and install another one without charge. He demanded full price for an additional appointment. He did so despite the fact that my request was made well within the 6-month parts-and-labor warranty he gave me when the defective thermostat was installed. He was also rude to me on the phone and then set up two appointments with me to redo the work, appointments for which he failed to show up. I filed a complaint with Home Advisor, the website where I found his firm. Their Resolutions Team, after Brian Anthony refused their offer of arbitration, removed his firm from the Home Advisor website and advised me to inform clients on Angie's List (a H.A. affiliate) of my negative interactions with him. I am currently suing Brian Anthony's firm in Philadelphia's Small Claims Court. I will update this review once the case has been decided in that venue.

The person that showed up to diagnose the issue arrived promptly, however he showed up without a mask. My husband gave him a mask. The guy was here about 10 minutes then asked to use the bathroom. We said ok, but then I noticed he didn’t even bother to wash his hands. This was today, 5/5/2020 during a PANDEMIC! I’m outraged that this guy cares so little that he was willing to put us all at risk. The quote was also high, but even if he gave a great quote I would never hire him. I have a husband and small child and don’t want our family at this sort of risk. I paid the $89 fee for them to come out but would not hire them.

Not well. It was a difficult installation and problems started immediately. For some time, they were diligent about responding to my calls, but finally just disappeared. Only they know why they stopped returning my calls. I finally got another contractor and it was fixed in 2 hours. I am now not comfortable that the changes (and charges) they made to other parts of my system while trouble-shooting were needed.

Two men from Brian Anthony came to diagnose a heat pump in my sister's condo, which I own. They spent about ten minutes looking at the outside part of the unit. They did not look at the inside part of the unit. Over the phone, they told me that the system had a serious leak and was extremely low on freon (their term). I asked the guy where the leak was. He said he didn't know and to find the leak would entail a costly procedure involving dye. He said that, because my system used the old kind of freon/coolant, the whole thing had to be replaced, inside and out, at a cost of about $4,000. He said they had replacement units on hand and wanted me to give the go-ahead. Instead, I asked that he e-mail a written estimate. My sister told me later that they refused to take a credit card for the $79 diagnostic visit, and had taken cash instead. (She also said they would have taken a check,) I began to wonder if they were being honest with me. My sister arranged for a separate HVAC contractor to come the next day. She told him nothing about the previous diagnosis. He told me (again, over the phone) that: (a) the system's freon/coolant was fully charged; (b) there was no leak; and (c) the problem was that the starter/capacitor for the compressor had failed. He replaced that unit on the spot and the system is now running fine. I told him what I had been told Brian Anthony the day before. He was at a loss for why they would have reported a leak. I asked him if they had lied to me, and he said Yes, they had lied.

I am a small business owner. The heating and A/C in our business were very old so we knew it was a matter of time before they needed to be replaced. Last week the air conditioner finally stopped working for good. I sent an inquiry through Angie's List and Brian Anthony's Refrigeration called me within 3 minutes and was at my business within the hour. They gave us an estimate for the job, which was lower than previous estimates from other companies and we agreed to the specifics. Install was complete within a day and the guys were friendly and knowledgeable. We experienced some water dripping from the A/C and they came back twice in the same day to make sure the problem was resolved. As a business owner, I appreciate the level of commitment to making sure the job is done correctly and correcting problems as they arise. Excellent customer service, super fast response time, fair pricing, and pleasant employees. I'm satisfied with the job and will continue to use Brian Anthony's for our HVAC needs.

We have used them a number of times and we have always been very happy with them. They come out in a timely fashion and they are professional.

Brian was responsive, committed, here when he said he was going to be, and stayed with the job until the problem was solved. Very happy with his service.

Technician came to my house. It was a very busy day so the owner sent his assistant. His assistant wasn't sure what the issue was, he also was having issues with getting the hvac unit opened, so he called the owner to come and review what was wrong. The owner came and reviewed the unit. He eventually decided to add frion. The unit started working.

Brian is always responsive and on time. He is an enterepeneur who takes his job seriously and ensures his customers satisfaction.

I called at night and Brian was available and got to my house fast, within an hour. Brian isolated the problem and showed me exactly what it was. He thoroughly answered all of my questions, was friendly and professional. The store was open the next morning and he bought the new pressure switch we needed and replaced the malfunctioning one. I had an overall great experience and also learned a lot about my furnace in the process.
