After some delay, we finally met to discuss the work to be done. I am updating the upstairs first and wanted
someone who was affordable, easy to work with and professional. His price was 2/3 less than 3 other
contractors who are listed here!

The initial price did not include replacing some baseboards, painting 2 extra interior doors. After agreeing on
the price and giving a deposit, we set a date of 08/18/14; He and his helper arrived around 8:30 am.
He came every day around that time and was finished by 5:30 or so. I had to let them in and then go to work
so I trusted them to have access to my home all day. They did not have a key. The 1st day Cesar locked
my front door so I didn't have to worry about the door being unlocked(door doesn't auto lock when closed)

When I came home from work, they were done for the day and gone. They cleaned up very well.
Everyday, I saw progress. If I had concerns or wanted to change things, Cesar was ok with it.
I picked out and purchased the toilet, vanitiy and fixtures. He picked up those items from the store
for me. He purchased the paint, drywall, insulation, etc. He did not have a "crew" with a foreman.
Just him and 1 or 2 other helpers. The whole process took 2 weeks.
Our communication was really good, we called, texted and exchanged pics so we were both on
the same page during the process. He made suggestions and listened to me, very important.
With the carpet removed, I did not know how the wood floors would be, they needed refinishing
so Cesar contacted a refinisher and was present thru some of that process. He didn't leave me
hanging.
In addition, he moved my furniture back upstairs and helped me with things like installing drapery
rods, curtains,vanity mirror and transoms.
I was concerned about the whole process as a woman, but Cesar was concerned that I was happy
and if I was not, he made sure that I was. That was important to me.
With that said, I decided that I would have Cesar and his team to update downstairs as well.
Also, do other small odd jobs. He is now my handyman.

It went beautifully. Cesar did a beautiful and fast job in the bedroom, and all other small repairs were well handled. I will use him again for renovating the basement. He does much more than handyman's work, he is a general contractor.
Cesar was a pleasure to work with, reasonable prices and fast service.

They did a good job, and they were very thorough. It was worth it for the money. They didn't leave a mess, they did what the job was. They came out a couple of weeks after I put the request in.

It went very well. The communication was good, the work was good and everyone was friendly. I think the job ended up being more complex than he expected, but he did not charge me for the additional work.
I called Cesar to see if it was possible to make a next day appointment for an estimate to repair my botched attempt at mounting my bike on the wall; even though it was last minute he was very accommodating! He came early, called me as soon as he arrived, and did a quick but thorough examination, explaining everything along the way (i.e how to find studs, places not suitable to put in nails, etc.) He quoted me $150 at first (the flat rate), and I almost did not move forward with his services but he brought it down to $100 because it was a fairly simple repair - which is a little high but reasonable. He finished in about an hour and even provided and used higher quality nails for the bike mount. Only downside is the paint he used to cover the holes does not match my current wall color (but that's not really his fault). He was friendly and clearly knowledgeable; I would definitely recommend him and hire him again!
They did not add the baseboard trim to match the trim on the other side of the room. Instead they added caulk and paint to cover the trim line from the original baseboard showing because the baseboard they previously added was too low to cover the original. The pictures will show how one wall has trim to make it look neat while the other wall in the same room does not. I actually rehired them again because I thought I saw potential and they were reasonable priced but they never fixed it even after I rehired them and included that this job needs to be completed since they were paid. Until this day in July, 2014, work not completed. I would not rehire them now because they seem to rush if the job is too big.

It was fine and he did a good job. He installed my garbage disposal. He also removed some tree debris from the storm. He’s great! This was the second time I have used him. I would recommend him to anybody!

It was not good. He looked at the chairs and said it can’t be fix. He did the other things very fast. The price was not worth it. I think his goal was to get out before the 2 hours was up.

I have text messages from where Stewart, Cesar's brother, told me he was not coming back out to make the repairs unless I take my review off. Stewart said he needed to rescheduled our 7/18/14 appt to come out again with him and Cesar to make the repairs based on the final punch list. He said he needs to reschedule. Then the next day I text him asking if he can come out. He said, I DON'T AGREE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES ON OPENING...YOU LIKE IT LIKE THAT...IF YOU WANT ME TO STOP BY YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE PENDING REVIEW ON ANGIES LIST. He then told Angies List he was willing to resolve the matter but then came right back and told me via text message that we don't have an agreement. I did not find them from Angie's List so they did not know I could still put in my review. I am still confused why he would pour grout down my basement drain and cause it to be stopped up. If I known he did that on his last day supposedly making all the repairs for final payment, I wouldn't have paid him. They were working other jobs the entire time and are refusing to make corrections. I have pictures of the work.Cesar and Stewart rushed my job. I see they have been on many jobs since they started my job as look on Angie's list. My job required drywall installation, wall opening, painting, flooring installation, and custom trim. I was told this was supposed to be a one week job but turned into 3 weeks or rushing and making mistakes. They didn't do a good job painting which I was surprised. They painted over some hardware, and they used extra paint because the drywall was not smooth. The wall opening they made was uneven and slanted so they had to redo it. They did a rush job on the redo. This is not a stalemate because he did not come back to repair the work. Honor your agreement and your work.

Some projects they didn't even work on at all that were part of our contract. The damaged walls in the other parts of the house they painted months ago by leaning heavy equipment on them. Initially, they told me they would use 1/4 inch drywall but they used 1/2 inch drywall. I understand that it doesn't seem like much but I had my kitchen designed and got measurements done for other projects in the kitchen like my cabinets.Having him not use the correct drywall did messed up other projects. I had to get design adjustments. Also, he wouldn't follow the design lay out. For example, he was suppose to use counter height for my wall opening but he said I needed bar height. I told my designer and she said since he changed it we can do bar height but make it 40 1/2 inch so the granite will bring it to 42 inches. They still did it their way and made the wall opening start at 43 inches. The custom trim they were not able to do after they started the job and got half the payment.

They were working at other properties the whole time as per Angie's list review dates. They told me they had one week to do my job then they had another big job to begin. I called Stewart after he "completed" the work to inform him of things that weren't done such as my grout looking white instead of brown or things that weren't done correctly such as the kitchen door only being painted on one side or cut unevenly. My kitchen floors are unleveled as well. He told me he had other projects he had to get started and I had an old house. He said if he had time he would come fix the problems, because he already started another project. I told him 4 times prior to him leaving to please match the baseboard trim he installed on one side of the room onto the other side so that the room would match and to cover the uneven wall because the trim was too low on the one side. When he came back to make corrections on 7/10/14, he only put grout down on the floors, he did not fix the baseboard trim, window trim, drywall lumps, uneven paint, or the knicks and scrapes on the newly painted walls from 6mos ago from leaning equipment on them etc. His worker poured grout down my drained and caused a major stoppage in the basement utility tub. I now have a plumbing bill of $533, as well.

*****I don't understand what the problem is because I have used him before and I planned on using him again. They need to come fix this problem because I wasted money and time trying to use a less expensive company. This company cannot handle large projects or jobs that last for more than a day or two. Why couldn't this company follow the initial agreement?

I was satisfied with the work. There was something that I missed and the gentleman came back in two days to assist me in getting the rest of the work done before the appraiser came. I was very pleased with the work. He was prompt when he called me. He responded. He came back because I was stuck. He did it on a very short timeline.

Everything turned out well. I was able to set the appointment right away, they arrived ten minutes early, and they did a good job with the door itself. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves, too.

The whole process went great. Contractor arrived early...completed the work professionally and cleaned up after himself. I told Cesar that he made me a happy woman that day. I would definitely recommend this company and plan to use them in the future for other jobs I may have.
