Cali Chimney Sweep

Company responded immediately to my initial inquiry thru' Angi, and responded to my initial questions. Set up apt. for service a week out and vendor kept in contact at all times re arrival window, arrival time etc. Deni arrived at expected/communicated time, explained job to be done, took before & after photos etc. and was very very careful to cover surrounding area of fireplace and clean up job was great. I didn't have to do any clean up work. Also got clothes dryer vent cleaned out. A very good experience from start to finish. Deni has very good communication skills.

Delighted by the service provided by Dani and his company Cali Chimney. I could run out of superlatives! Dani was punctual, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and most importantly given the job, meticulously tidy! Extremely pleased we hired to Dani sweep our chimney and clean the wood stove. I would not consider hiring anyone else in the future. Thank you Dani for such excellent service.

After a problem with a subcontractor they return and did a great job and return part of the money we pay to the subcontractor. the subcontractor not longer has the job.

Avoid this company. There pricing model is a complete sham - they quote you a price before they come out to your property and as soon as they are in the door, that pricing model changes, and you are charged a completely different rate which is significantly more. Their work quality also leaves a lot to be desired. Their employee allegedly repaired the mortar in our fireplace only for the "new" mortar to flake away after less than 4 fires. We were charged $250 for this project for shooting some caulk that costs $8 at the hardware tore into the crack. What a joke. When we informed them that the caulk was breaking away, they did send someone out to repair the issue but that work also left a lot to be desired. It was done haphazardly, messy, and I had to clean up the excess caulk after the workman left. I'd expect more for what they charged. Save yourself some money and piece of mind and hire a different company.

I paid called chimney to come and inspect and clean my chimney I stated to him the chimney has not been used in 6 years He stated to me it was $200 for the service.. Before he left I told him I didn't have anything to test a chimney did he he told me he didn't need to test it and it was good I was ready to go it was fine.. He test the shoot he showed me how to use it and he opened the shoot and say it leave it there .That evening I went to buy logs and proceed to light my fireplace. It started off fine and then smoke started to come from the top Vent into the house from the fireplace I thought it was just burning off a little smoke because it had not been used in a while but the more the The fire burned the more the smoke kept coming out the vent continuously until it filled the entire house. I decided to try to put the fire out The glass shattered on to the carpet and burned it That made the smoke worse. From the shattered glass door. Soot is on my walls and on my fireplace. He should have tested it before he left. Sometimes was clearly wrong.
