Penn Roofing did a wonderful job. I've had a leak on my enclosed porch since before I purchased the house. I had another company replace the roof and still water leaked. Vince and his guys came out and accurately and professionally informed me as to what the problem was. Will I use them again, HECK YES. In the last two years this was the best and complete service that I've received from beginning to end. They went above and beyond, and its hard to find that type of service now days.

Vince came out to assess and said that he didn't think that we needed to replace the roof. He did do a flat roof maintenance which included some retarring and caulking of window J channels. At the time, all seemed fine. Until the first heavy snowfall and the roof still leaks! Except now it was leaked into and ruined the new insulation and drywall ceiling. I have called and emailed Vince numerous times and gotten zero reply. I've stated in both email and voicemail that I needed someone to come back and assess the repairs needed. I also stated that I didn't expect him to do the additional repairs for free. Stay away from Penn Roofing if you need any kind of followup after payment is made. So disappointing...

Vince and his crew did a phenomenal job. He was extremely professional, very punctual, and finished the work ahead of schedule and met our budget. I would highly recommend him, and definitely work with him again.

Extremely poor experience. Vince and team were very responsive at first, coming out a couple times to take measurements and had the deck built on time around July. Price was reasonable as well. However, it was all downhill after that after the full payment was made. The quality was the materials were poor (except for the artificial lawn that I picked out myself and had them install). The wood quality used to build the deck was poor as over 20 of them were bent and became loose just after one week. They came out to take a look and promised to repair it. I followed up over 10 times between July and October (keep in mind that work was done in July) and each time I was given a different excuse (rain, family emergency, hospitalized etc.). In the last month or so, contact was non-existent. There was no response to text messages or calls or voicemails. I would rather have the deck fixed than having to write this review, which was why I followed up again and again and refrained from writing this review to warn others until now. I would definitely stay away from this vendor.

Bad experience. Roofer did not do what was in the description of work. He tried twice to stop a flat roof leak. The leak now flows at about five times the volume of the pre-repair rate. Sadly, the water has damaged a hardwood floor and has soaked through recently installed ceiling drywall and insulation. So now I'm a few more thousand into cleaning up this disaster. Worst of all, it is still leaking. I think we may be headed to Small Claims Court.

The work that was done exceeded my expectations. Vince came out and fixed what a previous roofer messed up and he made it look so much better. 1st big rain and i have zero leaks in the house. They were here on time and explained everything that needed to be done. He is honest, fair and does an amazing job. I highly recommend this company.

They were Phenomenal

After having numerous roofing companies come out to “repair” my leaking roof with no luck. I had Penn Roofing come out to assess the problem. After they quoted me for a new roof they came out to complete the job a few days later. It has been around 3 months now without a leak in sight. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fair and reliable roofing company!

We purchased an old row house in Fishtown this winter. Our home inspector recommended to completely replace the flat roof. We got multiple quotes from several companies in the area but Vincent and his crew really stood out with his knowledge, fair quote, and punctualness. Vincent completed the job in very efficient, timely manner at the end and we are very satisfied with his work. We are also very impressed with the material quality as well given the price. Highly recommend this company if you are looking to do any roofing project.

The guys were very responsive. Very detailed estimate and very clean!

<strong>Full Disclosure of my status: </strong>I am living out of the US with unreliable phone and internet.  Almost all of my business has to be handled with email, much of what I had issues with may not be a problem for someone on site.  <br /> <strong>Overall: </strong> His work was good, but I would recommend only use this contractor if you are able to be on site. <br /> <strong>Price: </strong>Good.  (Update 3/28/2016 I contacted others and found Garrco quotes to be on the higher end of the scale, but still reasonable. Basically with email and paypal.  He was very responsive during the quote process, and the electronic requirements of email and paypal didn't seem it was going to be a problem when he was giving the quote.  Once we agreed to do the work he was unable to start on the day he selected. <br /> He completed the job quickly and didn't leave a mess.  But, part of the agreement before payment was to send before and after <br /> pictures of the work and I ended up having to hold payment for that to be completed.  When I was ready to pay he didn't have a paypal account set up.  His payment was slow due to his own actions. <br /> Update (3/28/2016) - I had his quotes for two more jobs and I figured that we had the email and paypal situation figured out, so I reached out to him for to start the second job by email and phone calls and received no response. Although, I wouldn't say not to us this contractor, I will not be using him again.  My guess is that he wouldn't work for me also, which would explain the lack of response. <br /> <br /> <br />

I hired Garrco Roofing because they were thorough from the very beginning. They showed me before pictures of my roof to show me the problem areas. They presented the estimate via email and answered every question I had for them. The deck is beautiful, my family and friends enjoy every bit of it. <br />
