Now in our 2nd generation, Ike's Electric is a family owned and operated company serving the San Francisco Bay Area, providing a wide range of electrical services, both residential and commercial. Ike's Electric staffs 3 qualified electricians, and can handle large and small jobs alike. We are licensed, insured and bonded, and have the experience to handle the complex and complicated issues of today's building landscapes, from old Victorian buildings to modern lofts. We can be reached by phone or email, and promise a prompt response. We offer free estimates and flexible appointment times, and can schedule work in a timely manner. I got several quotes for this job. One contractor with high marks here on Angie's List communicated well in the beginning and then suddenly stopped responding in the middle of an email conversation. Another contractor with high marks here quoted an absurdly high price for this job and justified it by saying the job was nearly impossible and would require doing a lot of extra work. <br /> In contrast to these people, Isaias from Ike's Electric was competent, professional, responsive, communicated very well, and was not interested in charging me extra money for extra work that didn't need to be done. It took some time to get on his schedule (he's very busy), but it was well worth the wait. <br />

This firm was professional from start to finish. The estimate was right on target, they were great listeners, suggesting ways to keep costs down, plus were able to schedule AND complete the job quickly. I wouldn't hesitate one second to hire them again in a heartbeat.

Ike and his crew are pretty amazing. Friendly, cheerful, competent, good communicators (in person, on the phone, e-mail). Ike came by to give us an estimate, then scheduled his crew to do the work. Ike came back afterward to get the inspection signed off. Almost 1/2 of the cost of this job was permit-related -- so it would be even less if city permitting wasn't important to you. <br />

He ran electric conduit to the location for the camera and then installed the camera itself.  He then returned about a week later to clean the lens at no cost.  He previously installed a security light outside on my deck on the second level in August, and then again in September installed a security light outside downstairs.  Each job was done very well and I have had no problems with any of his work.  Plus he is a very personable and nice guy. <br />

Ike's bid was $2175 versus around $3000 for the other electricians, I was a little wary of such a large discrepancy (sometimes cheapest is not best) but based upon his good reviews I decided to go with Ike. He performed the work extremely professionally, replacing two main breaker panels in place in a very tight cabinet, this was not a trivial replacement. <br /> IKE was on time and on budget, he even helped me do a load calculation required by the city inspector without charging me. So even though he was $800 less then the other bids, his work was outstanding and timely. I will most definitely use him again and wholeheartedly recommend him. <br />

Very prompt initial visit to gage work project and provide estimate. It's a small, local vendor (father & son - mostly son now) so scheduling for the actual work took a while (about 2 weeks from initial visit). Work was completed in two 1/2 day visits, which was fine. I purchased the retrofit LEDs based on recommendations from Isaias (Ike's son). Extremely satisfied with the finished project and would highly recommend Ike's Electric for any electrical project. Am considering a guest bath remodel in '15 and will request the contractor use Ike's Electric. BTW, the final cost came in slightly under estimate. What's not to like? :-) <br />

We could not have been happier.  We called for an estimate,  the response was timely...within 2 days.  And when we authorized the work to be done, we got an estimate of the cost and a promise to do it within 5 days.  Then, to our surprise, the guy  made time for us the very next day.  We could not have been happier.   As far as we are concerned, this is 5-star service, and reasonably priced to boot! <br /> <br />

<p>Ike's Electric did a superb job.  I live in an older house with older wiring, and it was quite difficult to install the pendant lighting transformer.  Plus, the vendor that shipped the transformer (not Ike's Electric) shipped a used transformer.  </p> <p>Ike's Electric figured out how to install the entire system, fixed the transformer, and found a dimmer that would work with the system.  Prompt, courtesy, smart, professional and thorough.  Plus, an SF Giants fan, always a bonus.  We felt extremely fortunate to fine Ike's Electric and they will be our electrician of choice.</p> <br />
