We've had Karma Diva cleaning our house biweekly for a few years now, and we are really grateful for our cleaner, Bethany, and for the eco-friendly, people-first principles guiding the business and the owner's integrity and clear communication, especially in the context of the pandemic. We trust Bethany (our super-suspicious cats love her now) and we trust the business.

Great concept, but poor execution. The green cleaning idea and an insured provider were the big selling points. Unfortunately there appears to be a continuous turnover of cleaning staff of variable quality. This is not entirely surprising having seen how the owner talked to one member of staff when she didn't believe the job done was up to standard. Generally the cleaning is reasonable provided you specify precisely what needs to be done i.e. no cleaning under or behind couch without specific request. They appear to be taking on more business than they can fulfill always trying to squeeze and jiggle too many appointments in a day. They do a little less than you'd hope in the time you pay, but that's not surprising for a pay per hour service. The final straw for us was a request to delay a cleaning, led to a reminder that would incur their cancellation fee. We therefore decided not to delay and they were all set to come and clean. It then became apparent their own resource constraints meant they could no longer fit us in and they still tried to charge the cancellation fee. An unprofessional communication stream ended our relationship.

I love working for Karma Diva! As a full time student and single parent, my schedule is limited. Karma Diva offers me the flexibility I need. I’ve also learned some great tips and practices that I’ve implemented at home. If you’re currently looking for a good company that cares about their techs and will fit work into your schedule, then Karma Diva would work great for you!! They’re always looking to add more great cleaners to the crew!!

We've been using Karma Diva for 10 months and are very happy with their service. Very professional, well organized, environmentally friendly, good communication. They seem to have good ethics concerning the treatment of their employees as well as their clients. The first few visits were by various cleaners. Then we were assigned Dan, who has been our regular cleaner ever since. Karma Diva stays in good communication through email, sending an email prior to each scheduled cleaning to confirm the date, and a follow up receipt afterwards.

So far we have been extremely happy. Karma Diva gives us twice the amount of cleaning for the same price as the other service, their work is great, and we love the eco-friendly materials they use. We also appreciate being notified of the exact two-hour window when the team will be in our house.

The owner came and did a walk through a few days before and gave me an appropriate estimate. She ended up miscalculating the time needed to do a thorough cleaning. The house was not cleaned thoroughly. The floor was still dirty and their were crumbs left in the microwave, cobwebs in places. I was in touch with the owner. She promised a 20% refund. I have not heard back from her since 8/5/17 and have not received my refund. I have tried calling, texting, and emailing multiple times.

"Respectfully, I did not miscalculate anything. This client requested a lower budget than our typical first cleaning and I hesitantly agreed to try to fit it in. I even explained that with a lower budget for the first cleaning it may take more than one visit to truly get everything done properly. She seemed reasonable at first but apparently wasn't listening to a word I said during our consultation. I hope she finds the help she needs. We did send her refund to her (even though it wasn't our mistake) and were professional at every turn of this very challenging process. This review is completely unwarranted. Happy to discuss further details personally with anyone who is curious."

I waited a few months to write this review so that I could see how consistent their performance was. So far I have been very happy. This seems to be a well run business. Appointments are done by email and I can pay with a credit card on file. Two cleaners are sent over to get the job done in two hours. I usually get the same cleaners each time and they are very nice people. If there are any problems, I have a phone number to call. To sum up, I have been, I have been happy with Karma Diva and would recommend them.

It was horrible. 1. Cleaners did not arrive on time; 2. Previously agreed place not cleaned; 3. After 5-hour cleaning, there was still visible dust on the floor; 4. We argued with the cleaners about oven and other things not cleaned to our satisfaction. One of the cleaners kicked our furniture; 5. They were not up front with us on the number of cleaners and the hours; 6. Do not think that they did the cleaning in an efficient way.

We are terribly sorry about that and this cleaner has apologized and clearly understands our process now. <p>This was a big deal purchase. I had them once and I thought they were terrible. They said they would have, like, two or three people come in, but they sent one person over. The person was late. They make a big fuss about being natural but the person smelled of cigarettes and I don't smoke. She just did a terrible job. I think I paid $240 for six hours of cleaning time. She was there for about six hours and somebody joined her right at the end, I guess one of the managers. It was so disruptive, I kept saying, "please go." She said I paid for the time. I said at some point it does not matter. I am a contract worker and my time is valuable. So it was a disaster and the house was not very clean. That's what upset me. I really did not feel like I got anything out of it. I think the cost was terrible. I have dogs and they said it would be better if I went out so I took the dogs out for a walk for two hours and honestly things looked worse when I came back. I noticed that the person's gasoline cap was off as if she had gone out to get gas or something like that. It was so bizarre. That would not happen again. The quality of service was terrible. The person they had here did not pay attention. That's what upset me more. She was supposed to come at 9 but did not come until 9:20. She told me she was down the street. They said they told me how long they would be here. They called to follow up and asked how I liked the service. I said they took too long and the cleaning was not that good and they said my house must have really been dirty. </p>
