I contacted Mike Koff about a minor recliner repair that I feared was beyond my DIY skill set. I feared it was the type of job some skilled tradespeople would dismiss as being too minor to be worth their time. I’m very pleased to have found Mike. Not only were the repairs done well and at the promised time, but both the cost and turnaround time were pleasant surprises. Mike showed himself to be a fair and reliable businessman. What more could be expected? Our first encounter was a minor job, but should a future need arise, Mike has earned my repeat business as well as referrals to friends and family.

The guy is a butcher, beware. Mike was hired to breakdown my sofa and rebuild due to a narrow staircase. Within one day of his “service” my couch began to fail. I messaged him to come by and take a look in November, he didn’t get to my sofa until January. He “fixed” my sofa a second time and it failed again within 3 days. Now Mike won’t even give me the courtesy of a return phone call or respond to my texts. A “craftsman”... hardly. A crook and bad businessman... absolutely. Do not use this guy, he’s a clown.

"All not true, Customer was warned that the combination of cutting that sectional in multiple sections and the quality of the construction of the item will not stand up to heavy use or in his case abuse by teenagers. I made a second trip to resolve his complaint and noted the abuse, but still added extra support and legs in the crucial areas. This customer texted me, with insults and derogatory names and comments showing their ignorance and lack communication skills. At that point I was done. They did write a great review after the job was completed. I have pictures and proof as well as screen shots of their harassment and call/ texts at all hours of the night. Angies List will resolve this shortly in my favor."

After a bit of to and fro with scheduling, Mike arrived. He quickly came up with solutions and repaired both pieces. The couch needs further adjustment, but it has been that way since it was new. We will address it when we have Mike back for some additional work.

Mike came to the house, fixed it right then and there, and it was flawless. He also fixed a scratch on another piece of furniture and glued on a piece of veneer that had fallen off an old dresser.

Everything went very well. I contacted Mike after getting his name from Angie's list, he return my call promptly,we arranged a date to fix the table. He arrived on time and clearly knew what he was doing. He went right to work. Sometime in the past someone had tried to glue the leg on. This glue had to be removed first and then the leg had to be glued back on. When it was finished it was perfectly done the table was his old self again . I couldn't be more pleased

To replace the whole sleeper mechanism would have cost about $500 but then Mike came along. He has done, and still does, work for the major furniture stores and knows exactly what he's doing. That sofa bed met its match and came away happy and straightened out. All for less than an hour's work and $75. Don't hesitate to call Mike!

Mike did great work. He talked about the process and his background before he got started. While examining the piece, he found some interior damage that I didn't notice, so he fixed that, too. As a cabinet maker and artist, Mike had the skills to repair the damage, even going so far as to blend things in with the wood grain (it is possible he painted it by hand). The epoxy he used should keep the unit from experiencing a repeat of the damage if/when it is moved next. I asked Mike to give this the premium treatment, as the piece is quite valuable. With that said, his original estimate was $125-$200, but the premium treatment ended up at $250.

finally!! a real professional. I contacted mr. koff to fix my broken sofa. he returned my call, set up an appointment, confirmed the appointment and actually showed up!! I have used angie's list many times and rarely do I receive the professional service I would expect but mr. koff was fabulous. his work was professional and price was very good. I would certainly recommend him and use him again in the future. <br />

Technician arrived early. He was experienced and determined the best method cover my chairs. I was amazed how he did quality work and the end result. I was very satisfied with the more than reasonable price. <br />

Expert repair, as Michael is a furniture maker. He adjusted drawer tracks and equalized spacing on sides of drawers. The oak stain was uneven in one section. Michael added and blended colors perfectly. Works clean. Highly recommend. <br />
